Hey folks,

My name is John. I've trolled around here a while and decided it was time to be a little more active. I've read a lot of great information on this site and I figured it would be a good time to maybe contribute. A little about me:

I'm a devout Christian and I was raised that way. Went to baptist churches with my folks when I was younger and now I attend a non-denominational church. I would definitely say that I've been blessed in my life with abilities and a strong faith in the Lord. I consider myself a lucky Christian because there was never really a time i doubted that God existed or that he wasn't there for me. I knew he was always there, and that he would lead me down the correct path and that the only thing I had to do was carefully listen and watch for his divine instruction.

That being said, I do face struggles every day, from temptations, lying, etc...I fight it all every day. I have a good mix of friends, about half have some sort of Christian faith and the other half are agnostic/athiest. I'm not active in my church as much as I'd like since my job requires me to work some sundays, so I decided to be more active here in order to possibly increase my time at least contributing and participating in fellowship.

About my life:
I'm a drummer, I have been one for a while and it's my only real hobby. I'm probably a little older than the average age of members here. I just got out of college and I work for a computer company doing global IT support. I love music, mainly rock and hardcore. some of my favorite bands range from Paramore, Anberlin, Blessthefall, August Burns Red and Copeland. I love travelling but haven't been able to take a decent trip in a little while, but I hope to start that again soon within the next year or so. I've seen a few countries all over the world and would love to visit many more. I love meeting people (christian or not) and getting to know them. I will admit though that it's extra special when you meet someone awesome and then later find out that you both share the same love and faith for Christ. It reminds me of the Bible stories where people would have to draw fish in the sand or grab each others wrists as an identifier and to avoid persecution. It's almost communal.

I look forward to meeting a lot of the people here.
