Come now, fellows... There is an art to flirting - it requires subtlety, skill, and style...there is certainly a time and a place for boldness, but the opening line is not it. It's all in the tone of voice, the facial expressions, the small gestures and seemingly innocuous turns of phrase which eventually lead up to bolder strides - but you do not travel directly from point A to point Z. One must pass through the smaller steps first, and savor the journey on the way to that final point during which open compliments are at last de rigeur.
 And yes, I'm a roleplaying snob. So sue me.
