Used to dirt bike. Plan on getting a CR250 or an XR450 once I start work again.

Noice. I just want something that goes fast that I can touch on.

We were at a bike shop the other day and my dad was having me sit on these weeny little things. (Okay they werent that bad, but I wanted to sit on what I wanted to sit on not what he wanted me to sit on...tongue.gif) Anyway, I started going to sit on all the cruisers. And my dad just started crackin up. I was all D:< WHAT?! And he said I look ridiculous because I'm so small and bike was so big.

Bah. I honestly don't understand peoples fear of motorcycle. Yea bad crashes happen but I mean, they are not the norm and most people who ride are idiots. If they wore proper gear or rode more carefully none of it would happen.

So this is question to answer: Why are you scared (or not) of motorcycles and riding them (either driving or riding on the back)?

In case this was in any way spawned off of my post, I thought I'd clarify that I'm not scared of motorcycles, I just have no interest in them. I agree, there's no more risk than anything else if your safe about it and wear a helmet and proper gear. Just like any other mode of transport, take caution and you will reduce (though not eliminate) the chances of being in an accident. I've just never been into motorcycles and have never gotten a chance to ride one. If I got the chance, I would take it (assuming I knew and trusted the driver) but I wouldn't own one because it just doesn't fit my lifestyle. It would be expensive and impractical. I also hate driving, even cars. I do drive, I just don't like to. Thus, bicycle.
