you make an account at last.fm and download the program.
after you set up the program (it should guide you through), it will track the songs you listen to with your music player (usually windows media player, itunes or winamp). it can give you recommendations of songs you might like according to the stuff you listen to already.
it also gives some songs to add to the CTF group stats, so your listening contributes to the CTF charts!
