Do you have any idea how hard it would be to OD on THC?

You'd have to make an extract of it, and inject a few dozen CCs into your bloodstream.

Caffeine has taken over you; refrain from soda.
Oxygen kills you; refrain from breathing.

If we were to legalize Marijuana some person could be "smart" and do too much. The government would be dumb to legalize it and parents would be mad. All drugs will take over you no matter what you say.

It only overtakes you if you let it.

Wow. This thread makes me kind of mad. Trust me, I know my drugs. I used to be an addict for years.
Cocaine, ecstasy, pills, heroin, shrooms, marijuana, I'd do any drug someone handed me.
I've seen a lot of what goes on in the drug world.

That's why I say.... legalize it.. Seriously.

I made a wonderful post awhile back.

I don't want to repeat every little thing, but I thoroughly explained:

It'll BOOST the economy.
It'll decrease crime by taking away crooked dealers.
It'll take away a lot of the danger (most drugs are only dangerous because you don't know what's in 'em. Any dealer could lace their coke with some draino and other dangerous crap, because it helps them make money. If there was a way to have a regular consistence of what was in each drug, there would be far less overdoses and poisonings.)

I mean... I could go on for hours.

I think EVERYONE should go look up on youtube "Penn and Teller Drugs" because they did a wonderful episode on it, and the best thing is, everything they tell you is 100% fact. It'll blow your mind what you learn.
Go watch the full hour of that episode, and then come back here when you know what you're talking about.

>.<

The above post has decent logic, but I only agree with legalizing or decriminalizing marijuana, and not hard drugs. Marijuana use is just like alcohol use - it should be treated the same way legally as well. 21+, none while driving, proper restrictions and taxes.

I think it will eventually happen, but it'll be 15-20 years.

Yes, I believe marijuana should be legalized definitely... but being a Libertarian, I also believe you should be able to put anything you want inside your body without the government telling you no.

Mushrooms I think should be legal too; if people want to do teir psychedelics, they might as well do the natural ones. Also, driving under the influence of marijuana is different from alcohol impaired driving bc marijuana doesn't effect your focus and line of vision the same way alcohol does. Alcoholwill give your eyes a nystagmus (the jerking moion of eyes trying to focus) whereas marijuana does not. Sure, smoking while driving isn't the best idea, but being high while driving isn't that big of a deal, studies have shown. Studies have shown it deviates one's driving very little. Of course it all depends on dose, tolerance, etc.

Sooner than that some think; the hippie generation making the laws right now are the ones who were all taking acid, dancing to Jim Morrison and watching Woodstock; they all understand marijuana deserves an overhaul. I wouldn't be surprised if it happened in the next three years, rganted the economy keeps doing terrible. That might be the only incentive to legalize and tax.

I think its effects as a depressant really can harm while driving though. Personal experience, just saying; no injuries but a trippy experience.

When you come right down to it...it's not a matter of somethig being "legal" or not. If a person is tempted...and if their mind is sent on the evil...then they will find a way to smoke it/drink it/inject it/get it.

Period.

It is one's spirit which must he cleared of sin first. One's mind. And if that is achieved, you can place bundles of the stuff before them and they won't touch it.

Love Always,

Compare the negative health effects of tobacco and alcohol, then seriously ask yourself if marijuana is any worse.

Driving impaired is already illegal, doesn't matter if you're high, drunk, or just tired.

Well, ONE thing I can see going wrong with legalizing weed is the "dealers" would have to find another way to make money. So what was once weed, is not hard like meth ect. It would flood more hard drugs into our streets. Weed really is not a big deal, everyone loves a stoner tongue.gif Always happy, always wanting to share.

I dont drink or smoke, but I did...a lot, life is, for me, better without it.

How do you know that weed growers and dealers just wouldn't become farmers and legitimate businessmen?

Trippy? Weird. My dad would always tell me I'd be a BETTER driver if I smoked weed because it makes me overly cautious of everything around me lol.
But my dad's like a major pothead who still sometimes buys weed off of my sister and I. :p

Legalizing drugs = bad idea.
Why? well because look at what we already have that's legal, drinking alcohol.
Alcohol causes people to become delusional and do stupid things like drink and drive, which kills people.
They may go to jail, but that doesn't take back what they've done.
Therefore, I think that legalizing any drug that can effect your judgement is bad. Especially because it can put other people's lives at risk if you're driving while you're high on whatever it is that you're on.
It just screams bad idea to me.
If Marajuana were to be legal for medical reasons ONLY, meaning it wouldn't be availible to anyone without a prescription for a valid reason, that would be fine, but legalizing simply so that people can get high without having to worry about getting caught is a stupid idea.

All you have to do to get a pot prescription is say you're depressed. Even recreational smokers could outwit the system to fit in the loophole.

Well, what I meant was that I think it should only be legal when it comes to treating cancer patients.

The only reason why pot is illegal is because smoking companies are holding the market.
