You cant have fun sleeping now can you?

I can. Sleeping is fun. Dreaming is fun. You can't "dream" when you're awake unless you're hallucinating... that's not fun. (IMO)

Sleep is still fun.

Ever gone 36 hours without sleep? (or drugs to keep you awake) Your mind starts to do things to you. Now granted, that was several years ago, and I could probably handle it better now.

So you dont know what drug hallucinating is like?
So you really cant say that its the same as not being asleep for hours, so if you wanted to hallucinate then you would need drugs for it... which some people find fun. Which is the answer to the question.

Indeed, but we take the risk.
The ratio of good trips to bad ones is prob about 20:2

I don't like those odds. (oh, and btw, 20:2 = 10:1)

Tell that to the people who die from O.D. They start on small things like weed.

actually, the ratio you present your facts in does matter.

i could say 10:1, or 40:4. 4 in 40 sounds a lot less significant than 1 in 10, yet they're basically the same thing. like 1 million in 10 million, you think it'd never happen to you, but in reality your odds are still 1 in 10

A teenager took some drugs and went on a bad trip. He only did it once and then went to counseling and therepy centers for a while. Years later (he was early 20s maybe), he was driving a car and the trip re-occurs. It could have lasted anywhere from 3-16 hours. In the process of this little trip, he ran over a little boy riding a bike. He was convicted w/manslaughter and sent to prison. Tell me they aren't life worthy.
That's only one instance you say and doesn't normally happen? What about the kid that never came out of that dream? The one that still lives in it? Tell him it doesn't affect one's life--if he can hear you.

Say, you are on a "trip." You're walking through the desert and all of the sudden you start to fly. You're flying through the air and you can't breathe, you try and try but you can't. Then you suffacate (sp). This is what's really happenening: you're walking on the beach and you go straight into the ocean and drown. You never knew you were in the ocean, you thought you were flying through a Sahara but you were drowning in the Atlantic. That's dangerous no matter how you look at it.

The story you had was also made up. Mine was not. I'm not saying it hasn't or won't or can't happen, but mine comes from a real person...your's was indeed original, though...

Marijuana is not addictive like nicotine. It is purely a psychological thing. It has less addidives and chemicals then nicotine and it does less you your body as far as harming it.

The reason why it should stay illegal is because of this effects. And what could happen while you are high.

P.S. "Tripping" is usually reserved for acid.

Personally I am against all drug use. I never have been drunk or anything nor have I tried weed at all.

That matters not, I fear. If we legalized it, we would do far worse to our people and population than we would save the money.

Like that hasn't happen already with cigarettes. Deaths from Smoking: 440,000 annual deaths each year are smoking-associated (CDC) WOW

In Britain, official government statistics listed five deaths from cannabis in the period 1993-1995 but on closer examination these proved to have been deaths due to inhalation of vomit that could not be directly attributed to cannabis Even more WOW

don't legalize smoking then
