Is it real?

i suppose there's no way to know for sure. maybe one day we'll figure out a way to physically travel to another universe.

I'm a fan of the projected manifestation of our own collective consciousness.

yep, i definitely think Bill Hicks said it best.

"The world is like a ride in an amusement park, and when you choose to go on it you think it's real because that's how powerful our minds are. The ride goes up and down, around and around, it has thrills and chills, and it's very brightly colored, and it's very loud, and it's fun for a while. Many people have been on the ride a long time, and they begin to wonder, "Hey, is this real, or is this just a ride?" And other people have remembered, and they come back to us and say, "Hey, don't worry; don't be afraid, ever. Because this is just a ride." And we...kill those people. "Shut him up! I've got a lot invested in this ride, shut him up! Look at my furrows of worry, look at my big bank account, and my family. This has to be real." It's just a ride. But we always kill the good guys who try and tell us that, you ever notice that? And let the demons run amok? But it doesn't matter, because it's just a ride. And we can change it any time we want. It's only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings of money. Just a simple choice, right now, between fear and love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your doors, buy guns, close yourself off. The eyes of love instead see all of us as one."

I liked his rant about the giant vibration bc all energy and matter constantly vibrates. Burn all of your records! Hose musicians? Real high on drugs! Lol

I prefer Joe Rogan's bacteria theory.

reading data and facts is only as difficult as reading itself. After one gets over that hump it's very simple. It's also as simple as just taking classes.

Hence which is why most yecs simply aren't smart enough to grasp reality bc of their lack if willingness to understand.

No one understands everything that you do in the way that you do.

It has nothing to do with smartness or understanding; it has to do with beliefs.

QUOTE (mpok1519 @ Nov 11 2009, 12:33 AM) *
Ok; it may not be hard to understand but it certainly makes sense. More sense than yec.

If the universe can just exist in the first place then what could possibly sound crazy enough to not be true?

Just because you limit yourself to a human understanding it does not mean that is the only way things can be.

^ I don't think you're expressing yourself Accurately.

"No one understands everything that you do in the way that you do."

learning starts with the individual; one needs a desire to learn in order to learn.

"It has nothing to do with smartness or understanding; it has to do with beliefs."

an beleifs that contradict reality is delusion. Regardless of what you believe; believing yec doesn't change the fact that it doesn't exist. The delusion induced beliefs on a wide scale impact society negatively wholistically. Delusion is unhealthy in any form.

"Just because you limit yourself to a human understanding it does not mean that is the only way things can be."

what other understanding can a human have? Dog understanding? Cat? Horse?

...o.O ..what?

any beliefs that contradict reality is delusion.

interestingly enough, one could believe in something outside of perceivable reality and not be considered delusional.

There are levels of acceptable delusion I suppose.

Which makes me sad. I don't know why: maybe it's bc I just want everyone to know the truth in order for everyone to do the best good possible but there's only so much one can do to educate.

Using valid arguments is a good start, typically.

Well obviously the argument of "we have scientists who study reality" isn't valid. Lol
