CHRISTIANS AND PREMARITAL SEX

The Bible View

What is Premarital sex? The Bible refers, premarital sex,as fornication, which means is a sexual intercourse between two people who are not married to each other.A sin, that is just much of adultery, and all other forms of sexual immorality. They are involve having sexual relationships with someone who is not married.

Premarital sex (fornication),is against God,he instruct us his people not to have sex with anyone other than spouse.God designed us to enjoy love and sexual intimacy in marraige.Selfless love and selfless intimacy builds marraige.

As Christians, and a believer,we understand and learn through the words of God as written in the Bible, that premarital sex ,does not pleases God,as explained in the Bible,

I Corinthians 6:13,"that the body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the LORD,and the LORD for the body".And onVerse 18 also says

"Flee from sexual immorality".In Galatians 5:19 so speaks the same,Ephesians 5:3 says,"that sexual immorality on any kind of impurity or of greed and..., these are improper to God's people.Through these verses,in the Bible we can see that it promotes complete and total abstinence from premarital sex.Abstinence according to the Bible is God's command.

We are built to love, but we must love in responsible way, as christians we must always fight off temptation everyday.Since our world today has gotten lax about sex, making it seem that premarital sex is okay.

But if we reflect on the scripture written in the Bible I Corinthians 6:19 - 20." our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is on us,whom you received God;not that we are of our own,we are bought with a price, therefore we must honor God which is in our body and obey his commandment.

To avoid falling sexual immorality, itself, one must lead our heart, rather that it leads you Proverbs 23:19.The Bible warns the heart,Jeremiah 17:9,because sometimes we christians feel a perfectly attention toward someone of the opposite sex and oftentimes,we dont have plan,to have sex before marraige we fall into that, under such circumstances, inspite that we know, against God's commandment.

If we live as carnal or fleshy christians,we will seek to gratify the desires of the flesh and live only to please ourselves,if we live this way,the Bible says we cannot please God.We will be miserable under the weight of our sin.As we continue our fleshy desires, our spirit

will grow weak and our relationship with God will be destroyed. Complacency, with sins

leads us to worse sin,and eventually,spiritual death.(Romans 8:8;13)

Everyone falls into sin in some area or another. If your area happened to sex, there is still hope, you can obtain God's forgiveness. You have to ask for it and try not to sin again, what angers God is willful sin, when you know you are sinning and keep on participating in that sin.

God calls us to remain sexually pure control our passions until marraige.he has reasons

for giving us this command for he knows what is best for us.By obeying, him we trust God to look out our best interest.

God planned for this exclusive experience of discovery and pleasure to happen only within the intimacy of marraige. If we don't wait,we miss one on a very special blessings from God spiritually, physically and emotionally healthier in marraige.

Not that I disagree, I def. agree with this, but where in the Bible does it say premarital sex is wrong or define it as "sexual immorality" since the verses you gave us showed that those were wrong. I've been wondering this a long time. I still will wait for marriage no matter what the Bible does or does not say about this but I've been wondering and you seem to know you're stuff on this topic. wink.gif

If I am not mistaken, it falls under the category of "adultery", though don`t have verses for that.

I agree 100% with the OP. Sexual acts outside of marriage are impure and immoral.

Unfortunaly I didn't wait until I was married, and I have been with 3 guys including my husband.

He too didn't wait until he was married, and there are days when I reget what I have done, and he does too.

I think that the reason is why its wrong is this, all of my relationships that involed my being sexualy active last all about the amount of time, so even after I got married and when that time where most of my relationsips ened I started to have second thoughts, it wasn't that I didn't loe my husband anymore, it was just that I felt like it was time for a change, time for someone new, I was thinking about haveing sex with other people. It was only a few months later that I stopped feeling that way. If I never had sex until I was married I don't think I would of felt that way.

I have never cheated on my husband but I did think about it. I have herd that the more sexual parterns a person has the more likely they are to cheat,a nd since God wants us to get married and be with one person for the rest of our lives waiting until we married to have sex is also part of that.
