Entry 1, Sept. 11, 2009:
Today, my class went over, and the cafeteria closed before I had a chance to get there. Since I have things to do this afternoon, have no money, and my car is parked nowhere near my dorm, I was forced to eat popcorn and cake for lunch.  XD So, this thread is just gonna be for us to come and whine. I would like it to be in a jesting manner, but if you need to vent, go for it. Don't forget to label your entry. XD |

My printer must hate me for having to print 50+ pages worth of notes, workbooks, booklets, and other required things. I'm gonna need more ink soon. Oh and I'm not even half way through my readings. :[ |

^For that reason, I exclusively print things from the computer lab. I used to use the library, but they charge you...so I don't mind walking a little more to get free packets and such. Yep, I'm a poor college kid.
11 September 2009 I still haven't started school. Classes commence in two weeks. Life is good.

Week 4 of college: rush week! Have been bribed, pulled at (literally), and flat out threatened to join the different societys. TOO MANY DECISIONS! It's either Bronte (I know the symbol isn't there, but my computer is GAY) or Sonnet. Can't decide but the bribery has been nice I have about an hour to make up my mind. If you're still in the middle of the floor the last 30 seconds they literally can drag you to one of their's- you're at the mercy of the upperclassmen. Aw crap. Oh, and I have the sweetest boyfriend on record. Almost a year together College is good.

I didn't have class today, but I did yesterday. My Spanish partner is an exact replica of my first real crush. It's very odd. The Russian boy sits behind me and to the left. He's a nice guy. However, he wears too much pink. That's all. |

Today at college, I ate a huge bowl of chili for dinner with tons of onions. Then we went to the soccer game and, when my friend decided she didn't know enough guys yet on campus, proceeded to ask people in MU gear if they had any gum.

Sweet...my roommate is going home for the weekend. I get the dorm to myself. I can have a little privacy, not have to listen to her fight with her boyfriend over the phone, and I don't have to worry about being too loud. Man, sometimes I almost wish I didn't have one at all. |

I have now learned that I can get away with having my computer in 4 out of 6 classes on MWF! (and 2 out of 3 and TR  )And bus, please, next time warn me so I don't have to walk a mile and a half up a steep hill when I miss my stop attempting to do homework for a crazy prof that thinks we have no other homework but his. At least the book is good. <_> Funny profs make every class better. Droning/boring profs make your whole day feel like there's a rain cloud over it. |

Entry 1: 12th of September
I have about a week and three quarters until I leave for University. Unfortunately I haven't got campus accommodation and therefore still don't know where I'm going to live. Winchester have promised extra accommodation for the group of us who are accommodation-less, but I wish the builders had finished the new accommodation in time. My sense of direction is awful and I know I'm going to get lost trying to find the University in the city. At least Winchester is small and is a 'city' because it has a cathedral. I was upset at first, but I guess that this is part of God's plan for me, and I have put my trust in Him. I feel calmer now after praying last night. We're all going for a meal together before the first of us leaves next Saturday. I feel sad already. |

September 12, 2009. Entry 1.
Two and a half weeks of college have flown by in what seems to have been but a moment. I do not know where the time goes. My life is accelerating, and it seems like I've hardly had time to enjoy it! This is rather scary. It's Saturday, and I realized that 4/5 of my classes definitely have something due next week. I kinda-sorta promise myself to do a lot of it today. I have a critical thinking question to answer for biology, reading for contemporary lit, reading and further questions to answer for persuasion, and more reading and an essay for media and society. At least the latter two are due Tuesday... |

I had to go to to Omer de Serres to look for some Letraset markers for my Presentation & Design class. What I forgot was that it was in montreal's underground city which connects a few big malls. It took me 45 minutes to find the one mall that had the art store in it. They didnt have the marker set I wanted. |

O_o It was definitely a new experience...one that if it ever happens again, I must have to deck someone. Ok so I why is everyone here so obbsessed with Fish? I know its a marine biology school but seriously! I have not had one conversation with a guy that was not about how much they love fishing or how much they hate tu. I keep having the weirdest people come up to me, I'm shy and often sit alone but really do I just scream. "Weird people wanting awkward converstaions come sit next to awkward christian girl!" Today I was in the cafeteria with a guy wearing ears, a dog collar, and a tail. He was nice but I kept looking at his piercings. I'm from a little bible belt town tis is weird! I'm only at Galveston but Aggie traditions are wigging me out. Like mug down. Basicly at the end of midnight yell (think cult gathering slash pep rally with lots of maroon) they turn the lights out in our little gym. At this point everyone is supposed to kiss their date. If you don't have a date you hold out a lighter and kiss the first person of the opposite sex you see with a ligter. So the lights go out, and I hide in the dark while people make out, scream, and find other people with lighters. Another awkward sheltered christian girl moment. >_< Why is Galvy weather so weird? The school keeps txting me with messages. ALERT TORNADO ON THE SEA WALL, ALERT FLOODING ON 45, ALERT T-STORM EXPECT POWER OUTAGES why can't it just be normal? They evacuated the whole school to college station last year for a hurricane, I'm really hoping that wont happen again. I like my roomate, but generally her classes are later than mine, so to be nice I at first tried getting dressed in the semi-dark so I wouldn't have to wake her. That ended when I walked into my bio lab and a guy noted I was wearing two diffrent colored flip flops! I really wish I could find one good Christian buddy, who would put up with my awkwardness..... and wasn't convinced God wanted him to be a werewolf. College is weird. |

Ugh... Freshman lesson #1: Do NOT sign up for a 7:30 class on Mondays. v_v I will never again take a class that early. I thought it would be cool to get all my classes out of the way before the afternoon, and it has been great, but I could afford to sleep in for another hour. I have plenty of time in the morning. My advice? Earliest= 8:30.
