Does anyone else study drumming theory? I'm a rhythm guitarist and it really helps me, when I'm playing on stage.

What? Are you serious? Or are you just paying out the fact that Christians don't believe in evolution because it's a theory? If you are trying to start a debate, there is a section for that, and it's called the Debates Forum.

I don't take drumming theory at the moment. Might in the future though. I play the set, so I'm constantly learning new rhythms. But straight forward theory, not yet.

For a guitarist or a pianist, I would recommend taking drumming theory... For a drummer it's a necessity. It's not about learning new beats it's being able to play them like a machine (on time, every time).

Cool, thanks! Maybe I'll try them out sometime when I have the time. I'm sure they would help.

Drumming theory is like figuring out new beats and like getting perfectly on time with the beat. If you want to learn an instrument then you "should" learn this.
