"Beautiful", though "gorgeous" is nice too (a bit over-the-top though). I have a hearty dislike for the term "hot"

I think beauty is very relative, therefor I don't care if anyone has an opinion of what I look like. The only external opinion I would care about would be my husband's and in that case I guess 'Beautiful' would be okay, but I picked 'Other' because I would much rather be called 'Lovely'. Because to me it refers much more to me inside and outside, rather then just what he thinks I look like. So basically I don't want to be called just pretty or whatever, because I don't want to be just pretty, even if that's not what they meant by it, I'm still not a big fan of it. So I prefer 'Lovely' above everything else.

Personally, I find much more satisfaction in being told I'm a woman of virtue, integrity, and Godly character. I find much more satisfaction in being told people see Jesus in me. Always.
That being said, I can appreciate beautiful, pretty, and sometimes gorgeous. However, I don't appreciate any name that implies I'm sexually or sensually appealing, such as hot (my husband could think that, but no one else. Cute and adorable are okay. They're kind of neither here nor there to me.

Mkay, I don't have a boyfriend (and don't really want one
) buuuut... here's what I pickedPretty-- A lot less uncomfortable than being called beautiful Adorable--This is one of my favorites, because a few CTFers call me adorable a lot.  However, when they say it, I usually interpret it as my actions or mannerisms are adorable, not necessarily what I look like. It's a bit easier to believe than being called pretty. Beautiful (I forgot to check it though)--Now, the people who call me beautiful are usually either my mom or creepy old ladies at my church... but from the right person... wow. That may just totally make my week. Other-- I sorta like creepy. I'd want to be complimented on who I am or talents, I suppose. When someone calls me pretty, I automatically brush it off as a lie so that's just a waste of breath, for me at least. However, if someone tells me I'm smart or I'm a good writer or something I... well, I still brush it off as a lie. Heh. But for some reason, it's a more encouraging lie than being called pretty. (*keeps a file on her computer with compliments* Maybe a little more goes to heart than I think... O_o ) |

I would say personally, I like "Pretty", "Cute" and "Beautiful"... I do not mind be complimented on my looks, but sometimes depending on who it is coming from I would rather not hear it from them. But I think that if a man wants to compliment me, one of the best words would have to be a virtuous woman.
I am not perfect, but beauty alone without having virtue and a heart after God means nothing to me, if all a man sees is my looks. Because one day who is to say that the looks will still be what someone thought, being virtuous is what I would want someone to notice first, and then if they want to say one of those words above then thats okay. But a man noticing that I am virtuous is like saying one of those nice words above to me.. If a man say, can't see more than the outside then he isn't worth even listening to nice words like the ones above, because to me they will mean nothing.... If it is from family or something that is different then, I will take the nice compliment and say thank-you..... ... I would say cute to me, is more so used on something I did or personality. Pretty is more so on looks, and beautiful on looks and can be on whats on the inside and character or personality.. Thats my opinion .....

I prefer either beautiful or gorgeous. Although a lot of guys are more comfortable with saying Hot so I can understand. I absolutely hate being called "cute". It makes me feel like a baby and self conscious of my shortness.
