I said I have, but with my usual agnostic uncertainty-- I don't think I could have turned my life around the way it's been turned around. Once I was twelve and cried alone in my bedroom, considered drugs, considered suicide and suddenly I knew God loved me and I stopped crying and thinking those wretched thoughts. I think God told me he loved me, told me I would be alright... I can't prove it, but that's what I believe.

Basically, I was involved in a freak accident. I was paralyzed from the waist down for six hours. I had some youth leaders with me, but they couldn't be in the room the whole time...I felt so alone and confused. During my mRI scan, I heard God say, "I am here." Like others have said, there's no way I could prove that this was God. However, I know that since I was in an mRI, no one else was in the room with me. Secondly, it was a clear and authoritative voice. Also, the use of "I am" is pretty convincing. |

I won't give the details, but I was committing a sin and asked him why I shouldn't, and he told me (not audibly, but really clearly) 'Because I said so', and that was probably the turning point in my life.
Oh! And one time I was about to TOTALLY break down, and turn into a pile of mush on the inside, and God spoke to me (again, not audibly) and picked me out of my slime. |

I have never heard God (at least to my knowledge), and it can be difficult at times. But hey ho, I love the guy whatever way he chooses or chooses not to communicate with me.

I KNOW for a fact that I have heard the voice of God. I was in my room one nite. I had been agony over whether or not i was saved. I had remembered asking him, but (although i didnt know at the time) i had never really meant it. I had gone through the motions of what i was supposed to do according the Bible. I asked God to show me if i was saved. I asked him specifically to speak to me clearly enough to understand that it was unmistakably him. I hadnt even gotten done with my prayer and God spoke to me, as if standing next to me, and told me, you are lost, be saved. I was terrified. I was so afraid that i was shaking too bad to pull myself out of kneeling position. I prayed rite there and asked God to save me. I got saved that nite, no doubt in my mind. I was so afraid of what i had heard after i finished asking him to save me, i literally threw up. Alot lol. But i know that, if never before and never again, i heard the voice of God Almighty that nite.
