I am not exactly sure where to post this at, I a mnot intending it to be a debate. But I am just wondering Could you say that Jesus commited suicide, by saving all of us?

No because he didn't do it for his own gain. He sacificed his life to save others.
And, in sense, we killed him though he says only he can kill himself, but he wasn't exactly like driving nails into himself. We did. |

He didn't kill himself. He did give himself up though. That's not suicide.

If your friend/family member is about to be shot and you take thier place instead is that suicide? No. Your giving your life for them to live. Jesus did exactly the same only on a much bigger scale.

If you were arrested and sentenced to death, and then went to your execution, would that be suicide?
Jesus knew it was written that he must die, and as such, he knew he was also a condemned man. He was arrested, he was sentenced to death, there was no suicide in the act. It was merely the punishment for his 'crime'. |

suicide= selfish sacrifice= for a cause (and the righteous cause for Jesus was for the redemption of mankind. )

No, he didn't kill himself.
He sacrificed himself by allowing to be put on the cross and take the torture. He died. 3 days later He lived again! and now He is in the heavens! |
