Basically any symphonic metal, particularly japanese bands. Don't care if it's "real metal" or "good metal" or not, even if it's bad metal, it's still good music.

at the gates arch enemy metallica judas priest manowar motley crue black sabath sworn enemy i dunno i consider things like pantera southern rock and motorhead just good ol' rock n roll. xdeathstarx is a straight edge new school hardcore band along with war of ages and the like. i listen to more thrash and grindcore which can probably be a subgenre of punk or metal, same with 82 and d beat (although those im not particularly fond of). i like a ton of hardcore so metal really isnt my thing, but i do have my bands that i like. and im sorry but i just cant accept flyleaf, skillet and underoath as metal. maybe it's just me |

I really suck at putting music into different genres (I use the cop-out that I was born deaf, though I doubt that has anything to do with my current musical illiteracy).
I`ll try. Tell me if any of these are not classified as metal, okay? The ones I am unsure about are #7, #9 and #10. 1.) Rammstein 2.) Subway to Sally 3.) Rob Zombie (I like his solo stuff better than White Zombie) 4.) Metallica 5.) Godsmack 6.) KoRn (older stuff, Issues and before, 1994-1999 ) 7.) Marilyn Manson 8.) Nightwish 9.) Kid Rock 10.) 7 9 and 10 aren't metal. Kinda pop rock.. The rest are metal, but really soft metal. Metallica is great though. Good list, I like a few on there, Metallica being my fav on it.
