lets be serious, i've seen one guy post a metal band on here and it was the person who mentioned nokturnal mortem. unfortunately NSBM isn't my thing..
i like most of the bands listed but i don't consider -core bands metal. good Christian bands - 1). Indwelling 2). Tortured Conscience 3). Immortal Souls 4). Crimson Moonlight 5). Earth from Above 6). Sacrificium 7). Pantokrator 8). any Facedown Records band 9). At The Throne Of Judgment 10). Extol 11). Living Sacrifice 12). OLD Underoath |

Hm... I don't really listen to metal anymore, but I used to be a pretty harsh critic. I got all worked up everytime I thought someone defined a genre improperly. I was pretty silly.
I listened to Demetori last night. Instrumental Power Metal from Japan. They apparently have an obsession with some game called Touhou, and that game's music is supposed to be the template of their sound. So they pretty much take little melodies from a video game, throw in some wild double-bass drums, and shred over the top of it like a typical power metal band. Never was a huge fan of power metal for its lack of creativity, but it sounded really pretty so I wasn't about to judge it harshly. No vocals so that helps. So many of this generation just can't write songs, so that ruins music often times. :/ |
