I really have no idea what to think of this. Apparently doctors recognise the marks as birthmarks and not of the parent`s doing...

It doesn't really look like ink, but it may have been scratched on with a pointy object or something... I seriously doubt he was born with them. And in the article, it was mentioned that the marks fade away a few days later and then new ones appear. Sorry, but that doesn't sound like the nature of birthmarks.

Muslim parents or Christian parents? I havn't read anything about it but I'm assuming the parents of this child are not missionaries visiting from Iowa spreading the Word of Jesus right?

Looked up those symbols in an Arabic-English dictionary, apparently it says 'be sure to drink your Ovaltine'.

The baby`s family comes from Dagestan, where the over 90% of people are Muslim. I assume the family is Muslim.

Doctors do not know what to call it, and the article only said they looked like birthmarks (I messed that up in my original post). If they were scratched in by parents, doctors could easily see that.

Can't help but think they're fake and that the parents are inflicting them onto the baby (which would be abuse)

I have searched everywhere, not only that the parents are not missionaries, in addtion they were not practical muslims too, on the other hand REUTERS has coverd the story too.

They opened the door to demons by praying to a false god and no the demons are messing with their kid to further the deception.

If I hadn't read the article, I would have said it looks like very well healed over scarification.

That doesn't explain the temperature though. I really would like to see this up close.

Ouch! The idea of performing scarification on a baby is nasty!

This is the like seeing the holy images of Jesus and Mary on bread or chips if you look hard enough at anything these days you will more then likely see what you are looking for.
