So here's my situation.

I graduated high school in June of this year (2009). I was planning on attending college, but three weeks before move-in time, we ran into big money troubles, and I had to put off that part of my life until I came into some more money.

Since that time (over two months now), I've applied for jobs at over 50 places in my local town and the surrounding area. I got only one call for an interview, and even that was a flop. Never heard back.

Today, I decided to follow up on one specific application, with a pet store, and I got to speak to the general manager. He told me that someone was on his computer and that he'd call me back in 30 minutes. I hung up the phone and just PRAYED to God that this manager would find my application to be impressive, and that he would find a way to get me into a job.

My prayer was answered 30 minutes later when the man called back. He told me that he was extremely impressed with my resume, and that the only problem with hiring me was that I'm under 18. We were both very frustrated. He told me that, based on my qualifications alone, he'd be willing to wait for me to turn 18 before he makes any decisions. I turn 18 next month.

Judging by how enthusiastic this guy was about me, I'm really looking forward to this opportunity. He basically told me that he would really love to hire me.

Though I have to wait a little bit longer, I finally have come into a job.

PRAISE BE TO GOD!!! I am so happy for this opportunity He has given me.

Thank you for sharing your testimony, Jim; it encourages us to put our day-to-day lives in God's hands.
I cried when I watched the video clip and I think that the theme song "Day by Day" was a great choice, the words to that hymn are trust-inspiring.

Reading about Justin also made me think of how bad/sad things are happening all the time, and yet when they don't affect us it is hard to realise the fact in all its horror.

In the same month that Justin was hospitalised I was home on holiday break from work; it was lovely weather and a friend was staying for a couple of days. We had fun travelling around and spending time in God's sunshine and yet, while we were enjoying our holiday, Justin was in life-threatening condition in hospital and a confused young man (yourself) was asking the 'Big Questions' that ultimately opened your eyes to Jesus Christ. Oh, the varied states of man!

Our Father God,
Thank you for one another; please help us to realise and think upon the fact that the world does not revolve around us alone, that our joys, hopes, sorrows and losses, whilst each important, form only a part of the whole web that is woven. Please help us, whether sad or joyful, to trust in Thee and "rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep" Romans 12:15.
Amen

No, that didn't work. Can anyone tell me how to move a post to where it was meant to go, please?
