So I was just wondering what all of you thought in regards to this
For TULIP see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TULIP#Five_points_of_Calvinism
For Arminiasm see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arminianism

If you want to debate make a thread about this.
I just want to see how well theologically funded our youth are here.

For the record.
1. God chooses
2. 4.5 Calvinist
3. God saved me 100%
4. All but I chose 4.5 Calvinism
5. Calvin, because beyond this, he was a great and brilliant man.

My answers are the same as hers, 'cept I'm for Limited-Unlimited Atonement, which would mean I agree with 4.5 Calvinism. <3 Driscoll

God calls us, (ie causes us to know of our choice to continue to live in rebellion against Him or repent and receive mercy) then we have the choice to obey his calling or refuse to obey him. (Jonah, called to be a prophet, ran away from doing Gods will but in His mercy God brought him to repentance and used him as He wanted to.)

1. We choose whether or not we're Christian.
2. I am, for most intents and purposes, a universalist. God's love for us is more intense than any of us can comprehend and most likely doesn't condem a large amount of souls to hell. If one is in hell I believe it is because they have an overwhelmingly evil soul and would (dare I say) unhappy in heaven.
3. I think how one becomes a Christian is an individual thing and I'm not going to make a broad statement regarding it.

1. I said I was unsure, mostly because I believe it involves not just one side, but both. It's like what I've dubbed the "philosophy of friendship". When you meet someone new and become their friend, it's not because you chose them or because they chose you... you chose each other. It's a simultaneous mutual act.

2. I'm a universalist.

3. I said God knows our decision and lets us come to him because I am currently being influenced by this "Molinism" that Bryce proposes. I think God already knows what we're going to choose, and has in fact actualized the world in a manner that we would choose it of our own free will. So now all that's really left is to sit back and watch the movie.

4. I believe in Unconditional Election and Irresistable Grace but probably in a very different way than Calvinists mean it. I don't believe we are saved by our works. There is absolutely nothing we can do that would make us "special enough" to get into heaven. It is only by God's infinite (and irresistable) grace. His grace is irresistable in that it is so pure that there are none who desire to resist it.

5. I'm not a fan of the first 3 and I have no idea who the last 2 are.
