1.) Thank you Yoda for merging the threads.

2.) Would (collective) you say that all NonChristians should be considered "worldly"?
Now I am no postergirl for exactly what you describe, mainly due to my passion for horror films (just making it clear that this question isn`t a "what about me?" question).

Technically, yes because they are of the world and its ways. It is not just being a "good" person that makes someone not "worldly."

I`m confused. An ascetic from any NonChristian faith is still considered "worldly" by Christians?

By the Bible, yes:

"For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world." (1 John 2:16 KJV)

They are not following God in what they do, but their own selfish desires.

Total Depravity:
"means that even the good which a person may intend is faulty in its premise, false in its motive, and weak in its implementation; and there is no mere refinement of natural capacities that can correct this condition. Thus, even acts of generosity and altruism are in fact egoist acts in disguise."

From a Christian point of view, Christianity is the only way. All other ways are false. So, anything outside of our beliefs are of the world. smile.gif

Wordly just means the world's way of life. the opposite of what God wants, sinful, immortal, rebellious, etc. It's not the world itself but the world's way of thinking, the world's place in debates, the world's way towards God - that sort of thing.
