You know, I can usually write the best when I'm writing about something that I'm going through, and they usually turn out a lot better than if I just turn somewhere in the Bible and start writing about it.

Some of the things I've written lately are on stuff like whether I am seeking God's approval or man's, frustration (one of the huge things that I am always going through), my Christian walk in general, and humility.

Just a thought! smile.gif

God being like a "lover"

basically how He loves us, wants to be near us, and wants the best for us like someone in love. And we hurt him when we push him away or choose someone or something else above Him. And how He has modeled the way we love after the way He loves. Which is something we can use to help ourselves understand where He is coming from.

He is described as a "lover" in Isaiah. I think. But i could be totally wrong. Somewhere though.

I ended up writing about "Standing up for God" I just felt God wanted me to speak up about this. This was just a relaxed, 2 minute talk in small groups to the rest of our glass mates.

QUOTE
In Psalm 94 Verse 16 it says “Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? Or who will stand up for me against the unjustly.”
What god is trying to say through this verse is that he is sick of people who will not stand up for him, people who won’t make a stand when put under the pressure. God wants us to stand up for him and his cause.
Being a Christian teenager in today’s world is not easy, it’s extremely hard. We don’t live in a Christian world anymore, The “Crowd” or majority of people in the world are all walking away from God and ignoring the rules he has told us to obey.
Any normal person wants to be accepted amongst their friends and society, so we follow the crowd. Christians have learned to adjust their behavior to live a godly life and a worldly life at the same time. We all follow the worldly things sometimes to fit in with the crowd and be socially accepted.
If we had to stand up for God or follow his ways, we would usually be set apart or be unaccepted by the crowd and lose their respect.
You cannot call yourself a Christian and only follow God on Sundays at church or Friday nights at youth , then Monday you following the crowd again all week not showing a sign of God in your life. God does not want this, he doesn’t want us to have an on off relationship with him, whenever we choose.
We cannot be a true follower of God, and not stand up against these crowds.
All throughout history, the people who have changed the world have been normal people who stood up for something they believed in and went against the crowd. Changing the world may not seem like something you could possibly do but the place to start is in our schools, on msn, facebook and even runescape.
You can stand up for god by simply showing others, you are a Christian, and through this Loving and respecting others this is just another simple way to stand up for god.
