I would say God, but He's not just an interest. Since He's my everything. So besides God, I love people and I love music. So the two things I happen to talk about most are God... and music. :-) I'd list all the things God's done for me, but that would take for forever and a day. And I'd list all the bands I like, but that would take forever minus a day. So yeah, check out my myspace and or xanga and or livejournal. haha. bye.
  1. Mmhmm is their best album in my opinion. And yeah, Be My Escape isn't a new song, it came out on November 2nd along with the rest of the CD. Wonderful song though! The video is pretty cool too.
  2. There's Creation East and Creation West. So as far as I know it's only in two states. Unless that's changed since I last heard. http://creationfest.gospelcom.net/ I went to Creation West last year and the year before and also in 1998. I'm not going this year though :-/
  3. check out any (or every) band on Tooth and Nail Records. All the bands have clean lyrics with positive messages. www.toothandnail.com/artists.php Same with The Militia Group. A couple of their bands might swear a tiny bit, but for the most part, they are quite clean. http://themilitiagroup.com/ and click here to see the post i made in the christian band topic
  4. In addition to what other people have mentioned (like Jars of Clay, Switchfoot, Emery, underOath etc), I highly reccomend: COOL HAND LUKE - slower paced mellow indie rock with AWESOME lyrics. one of my most favoritest bands EVER. check them out! Kids In The Way - rock/screamo, sounds a little bit like The Used. FURTHER SEEMS FOREVER - passionate alternative/emo goodness. Earthsuit - very unique sound, like nothing you've ever heard before. MuteMath - what happened after Earthsuit broke up. dreamy sounding alternative rock? also hard to define. SHOWBREAD - my gosh I love them. They call themselves "raw rock".. combined genres of screamo/hardcore/electronica/classic rock/pop-punk. Great, unique stuff. LOVEDRUG - extremely unique (and awesome) sounding indie alternative Five Iron Frenzy - ska... awesome lyrics. Brave Saint Saturn - Five Iron Frenzy without the ska aspect Twothirtyeight - weirdly cool indie rock This Beautiful Mess - mellow, moody, dreamy sounding alternative music with deep lyrics Dead Poetic - very cool screamo/rock THIS PROVIDENCE - pop-punk/indie/emo/alternative. But so much more than that. Great lyrics. As Cities Burn - just got signed to Solid State Records. screamo/alternative/hardcore MEWITHOUTyOU - WEIRD and awesome! I can't describe them, you just have to listen. You'll probably either LOVE them or hate them. BLINDSIDE - last but NOT least... Blindside rocks! Great band from Sweeden... rock/screamo/alternative/awesomeness!
  5. Luckie St. ~ Cartel
  6. Let Go ~ Frou Frou
  7. Lydia... I haven't heard them, but they're going on tour with This Providence and Daphne Loves Derby (both local bands that I love). I plan on going to that show when it comes here. :-)
  8. Different ~ Acceptance
  9. Thanks guys! Kyle, yes I have learned the C, A, G, E, and D chords and the fingerings on the guitar are pretty easy. Thanks for the tips! Could someone maybe help clear up some more confusion for me..? Doesn't the major scale have something to do with the distance between the notes... or something like that? Thank you again everybody, I appreciate the help! ((Oh by the way, I know nothing about what playing in the key of something or another means... I told ya I know nothing about music theory! lol ))
  10. I know virtually nothing about music theory... but I'm attempting to teach myself guitar. I was told to first learn the Major Scale. *embarassed* I don't really know what the Major Scale is though... can anyone help me?? It would be GREATLY appreciated. And sorry if I ask stupid questions.
  11. Hey I am on the yearbook/newspaper "team" for my school. I thought of an idea for an editorial type article. But I need to get some thought processes going... so I want to hear some opinions on what you all think about what I'll be writing on. The subject is basically: Why are we so fascinated by celebrities? What is it about them that makes us (society) want to "hear the latest on who's dating who" and so on... What could be some of the reasons for this interest in celebrities? Do you like to talk about celebrities? Why or why not? etc. Ok, discuss! :-)

  13. Live In a Hiding Place ~ Idlewild
  14. You and Me ~ Lifehouse <3
  15. "The Beautiful Letdown" is the title of Switchfoot's newest album. It's a good album, but I personally think their older stuff is better because it's more creative and original. lol... sorry, just had to share my opinion. Happy Switchfoot listening!
