Trump is the new US President

Well if all governing authority has been established by God and there are no authorities that exist outside those that God has established then according to the first part of that scripture we need to submit to it. (Romans 13:1-7) Remember even David when he had the chance to end Sauls life and was being urged to his response was "Don't destroy him! Who can lay a hand on the LORD's anointed and be guiltless?". (1 Samuel 26:8-9) Even when Pilate said he had the power to free or crucify Jesus, Jesus reminded Pilate "You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above." (John 19:10) For me at least I trust this whole election was from beginning to end in God's hands. Trump is president because that is who God determined who be there and I will respect this as God's will and continue walking in my walk with Him. Because at the end of all this God is still who I need to look to to rule in my life and I know all the the governing authorities need to keep their eyes on him also so I will pray for them and their walk also.

    Mental Health

Hey was just checking in Bray to see how its going since you posted in May. Are things better same or worse not with the issues?
  3. Scarlett its hard on the family farms all over and its putting a huge burden on families. I know around here Im watching alot of dairy farmers sell off the cows and start dong other things. One of our neighbors sold the cows and started a trucking company mostly dump trucks so Im guessing that this weighs heavy also on your family and particularly your dad. So I will be praying for you all and sometimes we as parents get so consumed by the situations and circumstances we are in that we sometimes forget that our actions also affect our families. So maybe its not shame for you more like stress dealing with lifes issues. But again will be praying

I think for me in scripture the humbleness of Jesus and then the humbleness of those Christians living out their relationship with Christ by practicing servitude is what broke my mind set of it being a negative thing and made me see it more positively. Then when I started acting out on it in that positive way reinforced it that much more. I think what is even more awesome is how God starts working in us to even start extending the whole servant attitude to those we do not get along with or have done us wrong.

I think it is a lot easier today to think of myself as a servant when it applies to helping family, friends, church members, and even those I do not know. But today I still have a hard time with "servant" when it applies to being that way to those who I have a hard time getting along with or especially those that have hurt or simply did me wrong. Today I have the whole " the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak" thing going on. I truly now have a desire to even help those who hurt me but man I fight a huge battle with my flesh when it comes to living it out still.

Yes Marley as my relationship with Christ has grown the word has started taking on a different meaning to me also. Its also not as much just reading and studying that has been the biggest changer it has been the doing. Actually going out and living out a life as a servant and how different living it was from how I thought about it.

Ha! I think if the word was server I would think of that or like a waiter or waitress. For me a servant would first bring thoughts of slave like someone who is being subjected to serve another person unwillingly.

Reading in Romans we are called to be a servant. I was wondering what everyone thinks of first when they hear the word "Servant".

Yea I agree we all will be hypocritical about things sometime at some point in our lives. I think as christians what is important is what do we do at those moments? Once we have crossed into the hypocritical zone what do we do with it? I myself want to just cover it up and move on without having to deal with whatever the issue was, and in all honesty I still will do that if given the chance. What I have found to help me grow through my own hypocrisy is having someone I am held accountable to. This person has been give the right to get into my stuff, I should say these people cause I need more one person, yea I am a mess. But this keeps me from trying to bury and not deal with whatever it is I have or have not done.

My head is exploding with questions...

I was working at a customer's house not too long after I received Christ. After working one day I was wrapping up and we got into a discussion about God and it was really cool. I think we had been talking for over an hour but when the conversation turned salvation and Christ the conversation went downhill bigtime! The question the husband threw at me was alot like your question; what about those in remote areas of the earth who have never heard the gospel, your saying they are condemned to hell simply because they never read a bible or heard about Jesus. I honestly did not know what to say, I knew within my heart that God has provided away to Him but I really at the time the only answer I had for him was in Acts 17:26-27:From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. I knew He gave all the opportunity to find Him but that was not enough for my customer and honestly I wanted to know more also. I came to the book of John in chapter 9 Jesus heals a man that was blind from birth. Now Jesus does this on the Sabbath so of course now the Pharisees get involved. So now they want to question him is parents ect to try and disprove the miracle. So the ex-blind dude makes the Pharisees look stupid so the kick him out and Jesus finds him. So Jesus asks; "Do you believe in the Son of Man?" (vs35) the response goes like this; 9:36 "Who is he, sir?" the man asked. "Tell me so that I may believe in him." 9:37 Jesus said, "You have now seen him; in fact, he is the one speaking with you." 9:38 Then the man said, "Lord, I believe," and he worshiped him. 9:39 Jesus said, "For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind." 9:40 Some Pharisees who were with him heard him say this and asked, "What? Are we blind too?" 9:41 Jesus said, "If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin; but now that you claim you can see, your guilt remains. If you were blind you would not be guilty of sin. God's word is pretty cool in giving us the answers but my answer did not stop there because I was like God then how would someone like that know about You? So here is what He gave me; Rom 1:20-21 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. God has made Himself known to everyone in away each person can comprehend. Now whether they move in that or reject that, thats a different story but no one will ever stand before Him and say I did not know because they would have known what they themselves needed to know.
  12. Yea that is probably true. The difference between brotherly torment and sisterly torment is a brother is in your face obvious with his torment but a sister is sneaky its more like a surprise attack cause you all are like that hahaha!!!!!
