  1. 3-4...I'll have 2-3 to go to meet that goal soon.
  2. You're taking the verse clearly out of context. 2 Thess 2:15 Scripture is greater than any tradition. All traditions are subject to the word of God as Christ clearly shows in the book of Matthew. Matt. 15:3-6, "And He answered and said to them, 'And why do you yourselves transgress the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition? 4For God said, Honor your father and mother, and, He who speaks evil of father or mother, let him be put to death 5But you say, Whoever shall say to his father or mother, Anything of mine you might have been helped by has been given to God, 6he is not to honor his father or his mother. And thus you invalidated the word of God for the sake of your tradition." Mark 7:8-9, "Neglecting the commandment of God, you hold to the tradition of men. 9He was also saying to them, You nicely set aside the commandment of God in order to keep your tradition." Col. 2:8, "See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ." The Apostles never told people to believe what they said simply because they said it. Paul repeatedly appeals to the authority of Scripture telling people to look at it in the Word for themselves.
  3. History as recorded by Scripture not man-made traditions.
  4. She said Pope not merely a priest. you side stepped her question.
  5. The re-interpret Scripture in order to validate what their "sacred" Tradition teaches. They do not believe Mary had any other children despite Jesus contrary to history.
  6. I would hardly call it "Protestant" logic. Catholic, protestant, baptists, whatever foolish name Christians want to coin themselves as are irrelevant in the end. The reason why God condemns certain acts or lifestyles in the end does not matter. There are obviously reasons why He does, but what matters in the end is His word not a man nor some fool claiming to speak for God on behalf of the church. I could even provide what I could see as reasonable explanations as to why God forbids it, but none of that matters in the end, Christ didn't say to Satan "so says the holy priests of God," or so says this high priest or that high priest," but he stated "it is written" and then quoted God's word. Quoting men is meaningless even as much as following a man unless following the only perfect man in humanity, Christ. On judgement day it will be His word and what His law says that will condemn man. The good Samaritan was a parable and not real life so your figurative use of it is meaningless. Furthermore, the Word clearly states that ignorance of man is no longer overlooked (Acts 17:30). The men who follow natural law still go to Hell if they do not accept Christ. God has given everyone an opportunity to accept Him and come to know Him irrelevant to location or culture There is no salvation outside of Christ, and to teach otherwise is the epitome of ignorance and foolishness. I am sorry that you find some institutionalized teachings as more valid than the foundation of Christianity in God's Word where God reveals Himself to humanity and Jesus Christ. Quoting the Scripture that Jesus Christ followed and practiced, and the New Testament is not a "homophobic response." I'm sorry you have such a low view of Scripture, and resort to belittling Christian children songs for stating simple truths such as God's love for man. Belittling them for holding to God's word and believing simply because of God's Word is pitiful. Christ said the kingdom of heaven belongs to those who are as children. If you would like to continue the discussion feel free to create a debate on whichever topic as I don't want to derail the thread any further nor get it locked.
  7. It's not that hard when you consider that it is going against God's creation, order, and word. Satan is perverting the meaning of love and making wrong right and right wrong. The prophets, Jesus, and the apostles all could easily see how homosexuality is against God as it is clearly written in His word. It isn't until modern times that you find man trying to reinterpret the Scripture so they can maintain that homosexuality is acceptable. It sad when a person feels their opinion of what love is and the redefining of love is more valid than that of the Creator's definition. It's as easily to comprehend as all people who refuse to accept Christ and repent of their sins will go to Hell no matter how loving and righteous they live. Sin is never justified and God's word will be the last. I also find it hard to believe that anyone here would argue that Jesus, as a Jew, would find homosexuality in any form acceptable.

    DESTINY

I should have went digital or bought locally. Amazon hasn't even shipped mine yet. :'( I might cancel if I can find a limited edition at Wal-mart for sale.
  9. It's future tense in the Greek not present. The Seals would not have already began during nor near during John's time when writing these. The future section (Rev. 4-22) contains an introduction, revealing the throne of God the Father in heaven and the taking of the seven-sealed scroll by Jesus Christ (4-5). The seal, trumpet, and bowl judgments are then described (5-16). The judgment of Babylon is then set forth (17-18). The second coming of Jesus Christ to the earth is finally presented (19:11-21). The millennial kingdom, the great white throne judgment, and the eternal state close out the prophetic revelation (20-22). -(Dr. Robert Gromaki) Furthermore, the church is still here and makes it impossible for the wrath of God to be poured out upon the earth due to the church not having to suffer the wrath of God. "The words "church" or "churches," so prominent in chapters 1-3, do not appear again in the book until the last chapter (22:16). The singular "church" and the plural "churches" together occur 19 times in the first three chapters (1:4,11,20 [twice]; 2:1,7,8,11, 12,17,18,12,19; 3:1,6,7,13,14,22). The term "church" (ekklesia) literally means "a called out group." It has two main usages in the New Testament. It can be used of the body of Christ, which He is building in this age (Matt. 16:18; 1 Cor. 12:13; Eph. 1:22-23; 4:1-6). It is composed of believing Jews and believing Gentiles made one in Christ (Eph. 2:15-16). The term can also be used of a local congregation of believers (Acts 14:27; Gal. 1:2). It is so used in this second sense in the book of Revelation. However, there is a strange silence of the term in chapters 4-19. That fact is especially noteworthy when you contrast that absence with its frequent presence in the first three chapters. One good reason for this phenomenon is the absence of the true church and true evangelical churches in the seven years preceding the second coming. The true believers of the church have gone into the presence of Jesus Christ in heaven before the onset of the events of the seven-year period. The church is not mentioned during the seal, trumpet, and bowl judgments because the church is not here during the outpouring of these judgments." ("...") The Church as Christ's Bride: I am not debating this with anyone and if you would like to know more or discuss this further with me at least what's in this post feel free to pm me as I do have more to say in respect to the above on the topic.
  10. The Seven Seals is a time of God's wrath being poured out upon the earth of which we are not in. I would ask what you think would be evidence the we are in it.
  11. They would have hoped they knocked me out because if they didn't or if I saw them doing that you cant bet I'd be going after as many as I could get to.
  12. The going to another nation part made me chuckle.

    Shadow of Mordor

I've been looking at it. The climbing and parkour reminds me of Assassin's Creed franchise. I'm looking forward to seeing more of it though and checking out the reviews when it gets released.
  14. Banned for responding before I could.
  15. Say what? Did somebody trip and bump their head? This pretty much sums it up:
  16. I'm positive you're misinterpreting the verse to the exclusion of prophecy when other Scripture note it still exists.. It does not say that prophecy no longer occurs, but that the position of prophet has been fulfilled in Christ. Furthermore, you are confusing God speaking to His people with prophecy and the two are not the same. Church history bears out that the gift of prophecy never ceased to exist. "Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;." -Romans 12:6 "To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:" -1 Corinthians 12:10 "Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge. If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace. For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted. And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets." -1Corinthians 14:29-32
