  1. Alright guys, we're all familiar with man law. For each post, type one law that you think is most important...
  2. I'm giving my girlfriend a promise ring soon. The ring has a quote from 1 Corinthians 13:4 inscribed on it. I'm going to have it blessed, and have a bunch of people say a prayer over it, but does anyone know of a prayer (or has anyone written a prayer) that is appropriate for this? A prayer about love, or about devotion to someone? Thanks a bunch! God bless Andy
  3. I can't listen to "Surrender" without shedding a tear. It was the song playing when I first truly met God...and found my faith...and the lyrics are still so powerful to me: "And I surrender all to you all to you And I surrender all to you all to you"
  4. I didn't used to....but I do now. I've realized that my soul mate must match the following qualities: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. —I Corinthians 13:4-8a (NIV) If I can't replace the word "love" with her name and say that this quote remains true....then I know this girl isn't my soul mate.
  5. haha...i'm asking myself the same question. How DO you know? Starting about a year or 1 1/2 years ago, I prayed (almost) every night over God finally bringing "true" love into my life. I was soo sick and tired of the middle school "date for a week" kinda thing. God brought someone into my life...thats for sure. Everything just kinda effortlessly clicked. We talk about faith a whole lot, and we strive to put Jesus at the center of our relationship. We read the Bible together...etc. It's just a new concept to me....to be able to do that with a girlfriend. Plus...things just happen sooo perfectly too.....like it all HAS to be a part of God's plan. We went on a "star gazing" date a few weeks ago, and we sit in the open field, lay down a blanket to sit on, sit down, and almost immediately we see a shooting star. Just little things like that all play out to make things seem like this is something wayyy more than special. Idk if this helps you at all in answering your question....cause i'm kinda asking myself the same thing....but i hope this has some impact. God Bless, Andy
  6. I have to compose a score for Ap Music Class. The composition will be played by the school orchestra/band (which ever we write it for). The problem is that it can't be too complicated with rythm, pitch, or key signature, since the performers will only get one attempt to play the piece (they have to sight read it). Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can write that can be interesting, but still simple?
  7. I'm gonna argue the cost of prom there. For just me to go, it cost $250...and thats without picking up her ticket, and without a corsage. Total, prom is costing be 365...which is just gross in itself. I agree with a lot of what's been said: -pictures before the prom -match your date -be respectful -etc There's the other things though. -remember to brush your teeth a thousand times -smell good -look good -pick up your tux a day or 2 before the prom...so you're not in a rush -make sure to communicate with your date A few suggestions: -don't wait until last mintue. - have a "pre-prom" party. The guys can relax & have fun while the girls can get ready. Picture taking can happen here too....which picks up on the thought of taking pictures BEFORE the prom. -after party is always a good idea. Otherwise, it's anti-climatic. You want to have a good time. Even if the after party is you and a fiend going out to a diner or something, it beats going straight home from the prom. Any more advice??? Specifically about what to do DURING the prom, not before and after?? Good luck ....for all you who have prom coming up!
  8. Alright guys...I'm clueless. So, I started this topic for all clueless guys who are going to prom. Advice? Tips? Stories? Post 'em! God Bless
  9. haha yes. I love music theory. I'll try to help out with any questions.
  10. Guitar's easier, but Piano will get you further as a musician. Piano is the basis for a lot of musical ideas, so learning the piano will open up soo many doors for music. Learning piano will make taking up guitar easier too. Guitar is the easier of the two, but again, the least beneficial.
  11. Hahaha.....yesss. Play it well. Can you post a pic??
  12. Its soo annoying. I really think she needs to stop at some point.
  13. Definatly not. I made an oath to myself to never drink alcohol, just because there is no benefit from it. It could ruin my relationship with God, family, friends, etc. And for those who use if for recreational purposes, there are other options.
  14. On Q-Tips- Warning- Do not stick in ear passage. Doing so will result in ear damage. What else are Q-tips supposed to do.....THEY CLEAN EARS.......haha.
  15. My 1st kiss was in the back seat of her parent's car. It was after a show that I took her to. It was funny, cause neither of us really expected it, and we were trying to not let her parents hear it.
