Welcome back to the Christian Teen Forums. We have been upgrading our forum software and it took a lot longer than originally anticipated. Thank you for your patience.

We are still working to bring some add-on features back, so it will be a continued work-in-progress. If you have any questions, feel free to post and ask away.

I don't even know where to start haha. I'm a member from looooong ago, just now come back. I have matured so much since I used to be on here. I went through a crisis of faith, depression, suicide, porn, and a lot with friends on here. God used this site and a couple other things to save my life. I'm now 19 years old, a sophomore in college doing a double major of Educational Ministries and Political Science. I am reevaluating my beliefs making sure they are consistent with the Bible. Currently I would say I believe in old earth creation, and am leaning away from non-Calvinist Baptist beliefs to more of a Reformed/Calvinist slant.

  1. Aww congratulations! (:
  2. Dogs have something evidently. Whether or not they will be in heaven isn't clear. When God creates the new heaven and new earth, dogs will almost certainly be there, because God created them as good. Good things won't come to an end in the new earth. "Who knows whether the spirit of man goes upward and the spirit of the beast goes down into the earth?" -Ecclesiastes 3:21, ESV
  3. Hey guys. I'm back! haha. Feel like I've been gone for ever. I've missed this place!
  4. Happy birthday!
  5. I really struggle with this too Eloise! I think it's a matter of just begging God for a thirst for His Word. David said in Psalm 42:1 "As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for You, O God."
  6. So many times people take Christianity and make it a bunch of rules. It's quite possible that your friend has had bad experiences with legalism in the Church. Just make it clear that being a follower of Christ, although we are called to be holy, isn't about following a bunch of rules.
  7. lol I totally agree mpok1519. And a point of note: earthquakes today are much lower frequency and happen much less often than they did say... 3 billion years ago.
  8. Sweeney Todd is most definitely not art. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirableâ€â€if anything is excellent or praiseworthyâ€â€think about such things. - Philippians 4:8 NIV Now, a movie where the good guys kill the bad guys, although may be overly violent, I believe can be morally justified. Unless, however, the "good guy" is someone like Eli from Book of Eli or Frank Castle from The Punisher.
  9. I never said there was anything wrong with being human. But, all of humanity is born into a sinful condition.
  10. UnChristian and unbiblical. The heart is more deceitful than all else and is desperately sick; Who can understand it? - Jeremiah 17:9 NASB
  11. My sentiments exactly. I feel the same way. Like, "How can Christians like Twilight stuff?", "How can Christians listen to horrendous, filthy 'music'?", "How can Christians play and enjoy games like Grand Theft Auto series, Assassin's Creed series, Dragon Age Origins, God of War games, and such like?" Are these things fulfilling the command of Philippians 4:8? I don't think so.
  12. Cutting is a sin. Do not cut your bodies... - Leviticus 19:28a NKJV He can and will bless you and help you get over this. His love is boundless, and cannot be overcome.
  13. "Morning Star" is also used to refer to angels. When the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy? - Job 38:7 NASB
  14. Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise. - Psalm 33:3 KJV
  15. http://www.lifenews.com/state4880.html Whaddya think? xD If he runs, I'm voting for Huck in the primary. If he wins the Republican nomination, I'm voting for him in the general election.
