    Living together before marriage.

^Agreed. Additionally, the Bible urges us to "flee temptation." Not shack up with it. "So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart."2 Timothy 2:22 ESV "Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body." 1 Corinthians 6:18 ESV "Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death." James 1:13-15 ESV

I wasn't dividing the complexity of human relationships? I was just saying that they studied this and found a trend that linked cohabitation and divorce/marriage dissatisfaction later in life. So scientifically, they've proved it has negative effects.

    Forgetting The Past

We all struggle with doubt and fear and such. The important thing is to pray. I'm not entirely sure why, but after reading this thread a verse from Nehemiah popped into my head. When Nehemiah and the Israelites were rebuilding the wall around Jerusalem, the surrounding peoples were opposed to them. They were all trying to frighten us, thinking, "Their hands will get too weak for the work, and it will not be completed." But I prayed, "Now strengthen my hands." - Nehemiah 6:9 I always found this really inspiring, that Nehemiah doesn't doubt at all, instead simply asks God for strength. It's definitely something we could all work on, going straight to God and asking him for strength, instead of spending time worrying, doubting, etc. I find the book of Nehemiah inspiring anyways, hope it helps. Pray!

    God as Judge or Liberator?

Just an interesting thing God's really shown me lately. The Bible talks a lot about the fear of God and we Christians often say that what the Bible really means is "respect." This, however, is changing the meaning quite a bit. If you read any time in the Bible when humans come in contact with the true glory and awesomeness of God, they react with genuine fear. It's important to fear God--really fear him--because once we fear him, we have no need to fear anything else. In this sense, God is a Judge and we should fear him, but through that fear comes liberation. If God is for us, who can ever be against us?

    Snakebite lip piercings? (:

One of my absolute best friends and closest brother-in-Christ had snake-bite lip studs and dyed his hair black for a while. He's 21 and recently let his hair go back to normal and took out the piercings (just at the beginning of this summer), but I don't think it hurt his witness at all. He's a very good guy who really follows God, and I guess a lot of people have noticed and commented on it. Sometimes I think if anything it can help your witness. Like, "Christians come in all forms" or "Being a Christian isn't about not having piercings or tattoos, it's about loving people", etc. So I'd say go for it. You may want to take them out eventually if you go into a professional field, but it's definitely good to experiment while you're young and you can get away with it

    Living together before marriage.

It's not jaded, it's scientific evidence. The researchers who conducted those studies weren't going out with a "jaded" attitude thinking "Oh, living together before marriage will get you divorced." They were just thinking "Hey let's look at the effects of living together before marriage and marriage satisfaction." and this is what they found out.

    Living together before marriage.

^JAG is completely right. And out of all of the couples I've known, believe me, it works MUCH better if you do not live together first. Biblically it's wrong, we are not supposed to move towards temptation but to flee from it. Also, when people live together without the intention of getting married but with the mindset of "testing it out", they usually do end up getting married, but they only get married because, by the time you're living together and sharing everything, it's much easier to stay together than not. It also makes any potential breakups MUCH harder than if you hadn't lived together. If you truly love someone, you would go into marriage with the mindset of making it work. That's why arranged marriages worked for millenia (and still work today). When you go into something with the intention of working TOWARDS loving each other rather than with the intention of "testing each other out", things work much better. Love sees beyond little flaws and annoyances that might come up from living together, and can work through them.

    Unisex Bathrooms

But girls bathrooms are where girls go to talk about guys! And other things, privately. That's why they go in groups. It's like the adult version of a no-boys-allowed fort, and lots of tears, secrets, etc. are shared there. It's a sort of safe haven. I don't know what men do in men's bathrooms, but I really doubt it's the same thing. I also don't like the idea of curiosity, creepers, knowing what goes on in the opposite gender's bathrooms, etc., but I thought I would raise the safe haven/girls bathroom point.

    What's your BirthVerse?

Philippians 4:7 NIV And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. ^ I've always loved this verse

    How do you expres anger?

Maybe I'm weird but I have two "outlets" for when I'm stressed/angry/upset about anything... I either shoot archery or bake a dessert (depending on how violent the emotion is)

    MBTI tests

lol I've read that they have trouble with relationships... and from personal experience I'd say it's true. We just don't always understand that not everyone can think of things pragmatically.

    MBTI tests

I'm an INTJ, described different places as a "scientist," "strategist" or "mastermind." Description: INTJs are introspective, analytical, determined persons with natural leadership ability. Being reserved, they prefer to stay in the background while leading. Strategic, knowledgable and adaptable, INTJs are talented in bringing ideas from conception to reality. They expect perfection from themselves as well as others and are comfortable with the leadership of another so long as they are competent. INTJs can also be described as decisive, open-minded, self-confident, attentive, theoretical and pragmatic. I think it's kind of rare, especially since only 0.5% of females are this. haha You guys should check out this site, it's less pessimistic! http://www.mypersonality.info/personality-types/intj/

    Ask A Girl.

Yes, opening doors and the linking arms things are both awesome! Most girls do like gentlemanly behavior, although I've discussed this with friends and, unless we're like, wearing a prom dress, we don't think it's necessary to open the car door. Mostly cuz it's a little awkward because the guy has to walk all the way around the car, etc. So it could just be that particular gesture.
