Well I'll just introduce myself here. My name is Julie and I'm 17 years old, living in Southeast Tennessee. I spend a lot of my time doing homework, which is boring and tedious but hey, it's gotta be done. Whenever I am procrastinating homework or done and just chilling, I like to spend my time online, playing with my dog and my little brothers, hanging out with my Mom, and I love to shop. I would never have said that a few years ago, but now that I am beginning to love looking 'cute' (in my opinion), and I actually care about my appearance (as I haven't always), I really can get into a day of shopping. I also love to hang out with my friends; they're a ton of fun and I would do anything for them. I love to go skating and swimming, and I LOVE going to baseball games. GO TN SMOKIES!!!...anyway... I love to meet new people, but I am REALLY shy, though I am trying to fix that and be a bit more outgoing. I love to be on the mission field; I go on mission trips with my church and it is just amazing to see what God can do. He amazes me. I, like every child in America, have changed what i want to be when i grow up a million times. I don't know what I want to be right now, but I'm sorta looking at being a geneticist. =D My motto: Every day is a mission trip, and everywhere is a mission field. So, here I go. :)
  1. Thanks Haley Mods...I dont know why this posted twice. Can you please delete the other thread? Thanks! Julie <3
  2. So, you all know I've been gone for QUITE some time. And ooooh how I have missed this place! With everything at school and stuff, I just haven't had the time. But I'm here now, and looking forward to the future Glad to be back. Love you guys! Julie <3

  4. Prediction: there will be a huge number of my first name, my last name will be way small, and I'll be the only one with both Results: Julie~ 536,682 people with this name; 101st most popular name last name~ Fewer than 114. this quote is funny.. "The estimate for this name is not absolute. There may be fewer people with this name, or none at all." lol. and I'm the only one with my whole name i knew it.
  5. For me personally, being a science nerd and all, the more I look at the complexity and depth of science, and therefore also realize its limits, my admiration for God's power, abilities, and majesty are strongly intensified. All of the aspects that he had to create, all of the concepts that make life possible, couldn't have just happened.
  6. Julie: a popular French first name which originally comes from the Latin Julia which could mean youthful, soft-haired, beautiful or vivacious. It is the feminine form of Julius. Personally, I like all of the above definitions I loooove them. Middle, Nicole: Victory of the people. Greek. I love my name
  7. Lol. I'm with mint up there. I hug my guy friends all the time. Of course, there are some guys that I know that I have yet to hug, but that's not to say that I won't if we are joking around someday and I am like yeah hug lol. I loooove hugs and I don't think that they have the same sexual connotation that they used to have. Like, I don't think they bring up the same sexual feelings/thoughts in people. In our society now, have yall noticed how common hugs are? I mean it's pretty much as common as the word hi because the pretty much go hand in hand these days. I hug my friends all the time and I really don't care about gender...and it's not because i'm even remotely thinking about anything else other than a hug. Depending on where we are, what we're doing, and the current atmosphere...that's what determines what kind of hug. My friend Heather and I sometimes just do a little one arm squeeze, but there was one day where she absolutely tackled me and before I knew it I was holding her lol!! xD So many things determine what kind of hug, but it doesn't bother me either way. Maybe I'm the only one who feels like this, but I think hugs are just so engraved in our culture these days that they equal what a wave of the hand used to. =) ~Julie
  8. Happy Birthday Bre!! You rock!
  9. I'm not going to either of them, but I know somebody going to Vanderbilt. You're going to one of them? That's pretty amazing; you must be very smart. They're pretty prestigious congratulations!
  10. I'm a senior also this year. I have to admit that I feel stress similar to yours, but really we have to take it in stride I've been really mad at myself because I'm becoming friends with a lot of freshmen this year, which is going to be HORRIBLE come graduation day I'm probably going to cry...I'm leaving so many people behind me. And on top of dealing with a completely different social life and status...there's college...which I have happily gotten figured out about 70% of the way...I think..lol. And scholarships and guidance counselors driving you crazy and trying to focus on your classes and make good grades so that you CAN go to college (the college i want to go to requires a final transcript in may or so....so my grades must continue to be good ) Anyway, I feel your pain. i thought it would be much more fun. Just stick it out We'll all come out on the other side. w00t class of 2010!!! <3 Julie
  11. ^^^ WIN And welcome aboard, Joseph I'm not one that you'll see much, but i'm here occasionally Julie

  13. Oh awesome! The Christmas ball! Hopefully i can get as awesome an escort as I had last year lol but i guess we'll see
  14. My school is performing "Godspell" next semester for our spring musical, and I have been researching it and it seems to be kinda sac religious in my opinion. Do yall know anything about it, and if so, can you give me your opinions on it?? I'm really stuck on what to do. I can easily drop the class and not be involved if i so choose; it'd be simple. I just don't want to drop it if it's innocent, ya know? I just need farther information please Thanks bunches ~Julie
  15. God's the bomb. He's the best one to turn life over to. I've come to the same conclusion recently as well. Thanks for posting this
