    Move on or move forward?

I could have sworn I replied to all this...stupid internet. That's exactly what I meant by pursue. I'm glad I'm getting a thumbs up here haha I never really thought about college (or in Australia, university) being an issue since she never really brought that up as a reason for her decision. Actually, here's her exact words: Fair enough? Very true scientifically. Not sure how to apply it to this situation though. Care to elaborate?

    Move on or move forward?

Yeah, I understand that, and I'm kind of in that mindset anyway. I mean as I said originally, I found out before she approached me that she wanted to stay single, so I knew right then that it wouldn't happen, at least not now. In the end it's up to her about how it goes. I guess the question I'm asking more is about how I said I respected her decision; is continuing to pursue her contradicting what I said?
  3. Wow, it's been a while. But I'm still a teen so I figure this is a good place to ask. Alrighty...so I'm 17, almost finished high school and I've liked this girl for about a month now. She's almost 17 and finishes high school in around a month. Now I'm good friends with a lot of her friends, we go to the same church, have the same social groups, etc. Turns out she also dated one of my best friends long-term before I moved here, but I've checked with him and he's cool with me liking her. Now around two weeks ago, she made this public thing about wanting to stay single and focus on growing more as a Christian and devoting herself more to all her friends. So I figured I'd back off slightly and be more of a good friend than an admirer, which kinda worked. Anyway, last week she sent me a message over Facebook saying she wasn't really interested right now and reexplained her decision to me (this time directly; initially she made it public and not to anyone in particular, if that makes sense). So I figured I'd show a bit of confidence and suggest that we clear things up in person, but she insisted on getting it done then and there, so I didn't force that. But yeah, I cleared up my side of the story, told her I respected her decision and that there's a great guy out there for her when she's ready. However, there's a few friends I tell almost everything to. And all three of them suggested I don't give up, despite what she said. They said if I wanted her, keep working hard and I might have another shot when she's ready to pursue someone. I think it's fairly obvious I have respect for her and her decision to stay single, knowing the reasons. I think it's obvious to my friends how much I care about her too. So here's my questions: is it worth waiting until she's ready? Is it out of line/breaking my "vow of respect" to her for me to keep pursuing her considering that fact? Or is it one of those moments where you just need to move on and find someone else?

    The CTRL-V Thread

Monday is Zone 1. Your bed, clearing off your nightstands, and getting rid of the trash. Empty your trash cans. Tuesday is Zone 2. Your Closet: Hang up your clothes; make sure your dirty clothes are put in your laundry basket. Wash your clothes and put them away. Wednesday is Zone 3. Your Floor. Pick up all the clothes and trash off your floor and go get the vacuum and vacuum without being told to. You just have to get the middles. I don’t expect you to vacuum like your perfectionist mother does. This is your room and it doesn’t have to be perfect; it just has to be done once a week. Set your timer for 10 minutes and you can stop when the timer goes off. Thursday is Zone 4. Your Desk. Throw away the trash and papers on your desk. Get rid of any soda can and bottles and take all the dishes back to the kitchen and put them in the dishwasher. Clear off your desk so you can work. This is one of our hotspots that collects the most clutter. With your desk cleared off you may be able to focus on your homework. Friday is Zone 5. Your Bathroom. Once a week, clean the shower while you are in it and then sweep the floor and mop with a wet rag or damp towel. Then toss this in the laundry. This is going to keep your room looking

Please help me with a problem

This is really good advice. If I were in your shoes, I wouldn't hesitate in taking it. You're only gonna hurt her more if you don't tell her the truth. Sure, the truth hurts, but it's not as bad as being lied to.

    Song: The Battle

I wrote this one half asleep last night. It seems a bit forced in some places because I kinda rushed it to get some opinions on how to work with it. Anyway, I started out by writing along the lines of my current situation with a friend I had a falling out with recently and near the end it's where it went off on a different tangent. To me it works though because now it seems more like a song where it's come from a friend's point of view where he's had a falling out with a friend, patched everything up and then converted her to Christ. Not sure if that's how I want it to stay though, which is why an opinion would be good. Enough babbling; here's my new song, The Battle. Verse 1 I can't sleep knowing You hold a grudge against me I'm a man against an army I can't wake knowing My back's against the wall And you're just gonna let me fall Pre-Chorus 1 But I won't give up No, I won't give in I'll give it my all to find the reasons within Chorus Cause I know you're broken From the things that I've said And I know you'll fight Through the battle ahead But two syllables can note The hurt and the shame Regret for the worst The anguish and pain Verse 2 I can't stand here today Knowing the reasons They'll testify against me I can't see the light at the end of this tunnel As the judge slams the gavel My light is blackened Pre-Chorus 2 But I'm not giving up Cause I still got a shot Cause the One I put my faith in Is givin' all He's got Chorus Cause I know you're broken From the things that I've said And I know you'll fight Through the battle ahead But two syllables can note The hurt and the shame Regret for the worst The anguish and pain Bridge You saw through the façade And You opened my heart to the inner me I need You to set it free You gave me one chance Which I took with both hands, now I'll never look back Cause you got me back on track Pre-Chorus 3 I'm not ever giving up Cause I waited it out I saw it through the battle And lived to tell about it Yeah, I'm never giving up Cause the war is far from gone And the battles will continue Cause the best is yet to come Chorus I'm gonna take to The stand and today I'm gonna turn my life around It will all be okay There's no need to worry The tables have turned The odds in my favour and I've nothing to lose I guess the time's come And we both know it's true She's ready to give All the glory to You The war is now the was (?) The present turns to past The battle's been won And it's now in the past! Outro The war is now the was (?) The present turns to past The battle's been won And it's now in the past (Spoken: "Alright, it's about time we call it a truce.")

    Two Truths And A Lie

Nah, I only watched two Disney movies. I'm gonna guess...wait...two lies and a truth? O.o I reckon #1. I'm in a band. If I am in a band, I've written all the original music for our band (this does not include covers, obviously; it pertains to music written by the band members). If I am in a band, I feature on guitar and lead vocals.
