    Ideas for Outreach in School?

Anna! That's awesome, I lead a Bible Study group at my school, it's great! I think that first, prayer should be your top priority. God can plant the most amazing and successful ideas in your head. I would have never thought of making a group at my school without God's help! What I did was ask everyone I know about their faith, it's a great approach IMO. If they are Christian, then you invite them! You could also pass out pamphlets and stuff, put some posters or announce it through the school's microphone. If you bring food everyone will go for sure, haha, even the non-believers!

    Sleep Patterns, yours?

Yeah! Whenever I wake up late like 12pm, I feel like my day is completely wasted away and I just spend all my time doing nothing.
  7. I wonder if it's possible to dislike Science or Math AND Physical Education... I like both
  8. Epilogue: The Wife of Noble Character 10 A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. 11 Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. 12 She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. 13 She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. 14 She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar. 15 She gets up while it is still night; she provides food for her family and portions for her female servants. 16 She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. 17 She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. 18 She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night. 19 In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers. 20 She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy. 21 When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet. 22 She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple. 23 Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land. 24 She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes. 25 She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. 26 She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. 27 She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. 28 Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: 29 “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.” 30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. 31 Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

    Sleep Patterns, yours?

During the school year I go to bed at 10pm and wake up at 7am. During the summer I go to bed at 11pm and wake up at 8-9am. Once I stop growing I plan on sleeping polyphasically for a few months with a friend. I think the best method for me would be the Everyman schedule since it means I need to sleep right before school, at lunchtime and after school and sleep from 2-4am, which does not interfere with anything. I wish I could do Uberman, but how in the world and I going to find a way to never miss my 20m naps every 3 hours?

Did anyone else notice this part in the passage? I am not sure how The Debate Room works, but I can assure you all that we've reached an impasse in this discussion. We're just going in a downward spiral getting more and more aggressive because we can't find anything else valid to say. Do realize, vegetarians, that carnivores are getting the right nutrition from eating meat, just as you are with the alternatives. A lot of animals eat meat to survive too, even some plants. The intention of God was that we may eat animals to survive, yet it is true that the meat industry is being very cruel with animals at the moment. I heard some of you mention that the Bible could not be used to defend the statements of the meat-eater, well that is somewhat false and true. The Bible is part of the Christian's beliefs, even if you do not agree on whatever is said in it, they do, and that is because it is the Word of the creator of all existence. That is much more convincing than whatever is said by a human. I will use the Inuits as an example of how some people of 2011 need to kill animals to survive: The Inuits live in temperatures that go as far down as -40 degrees. An amazing method for fighting the coldness of the North is to eat seals, they have a tremendous amount of fat inside of them and by eating this fat, our body is able to heat up very quickly. There was a man that was only in the North for a few weeks, but once he ate seal, he was able to go outside in his T-shirt without feeling cold at all. Do realize, meat-eaters, that many of you do eat way too much meat, and that most meat we eat is originating from one of the most cruel industries in the world. The problem is that these industries have to use these cruel methods because there is such a high demand for meat at the moment and it is very efficient. Unfortunately, most people are not going to reduce their meat consumption for the protection of animals. I think the vegetarians should be allowed to not eat meat and the carnivores should be allowed to eat meat, but for some, a lot less than they do now. By the way, for those who want to eat meat that does not come from the big meat industries: The alternative is to buy your meat from one of those 'natural farms'. They give the animals all the space they need and feed them very well, they still kill the animal though. I don't know what they're really called... It's probably not 'natural farm'. You guys better agree on something soon, haha.

Yeah, I haven't seen many Catholics either, but even with the larger amount of Protestants it's not like we're going to force you to become one or anything. Besides, some of us are non-denominational, sooooo.... Oh, and welcome to CTF! I'm new too, haha.

    Obama first president to ...

If Obama is Muslim then he sucks at being one because he doesn't even admit it. Didn't he declare himself to be Christian? Does it matter if we have a Muslim leader? I am sure if he was slowly turning the White House into some Muslim palace people would notice and start protesting..

Awesome! I know I used to be super shy, but the way to become more outgoing is to put yourself into situations where you are absolutely forced to get out of your shell. Go to that club and don't worry, force yourself to go talk to as many people there and socialize a bit, talk about how you're new and stuff, they'll totally help you out if they are nice.
