    Missing my mom. Need advice!

Thats okay! Oh I'm sorry to hear about all that.. I hope it gets better! Yes, I think you should definitely try and restore your relationship with your Mum even though she has hurt you a lot, before its too late! Yes..and take it slow, don't rush things or confront on front on about why she hasn't contacted you.. restore the relationship first, then eventually she might say, but thats not as important right now as being there for her, and trying your best to make up! I truly hope it all goes well, I hope you can contact her soon, I'll pray for ya! Oh and sorry to hear about your Mums condition and that..thats sad, I hope there's nothing wrong! Wow..you've gone through a lot! I know what you mean! I've been abused by my Step Dad emotionally..for years, and it damaged me so much during my early high school years, but as I've grown I've learnt to deal with it, and not get so angry.. Its a long process, but life gets better! Have you talked with your Dad about this? Thats okay Vanis, glad I could of helped!!! I hope it all goes well! Let me know if you need someone to talk to, or anything like that, I'd be glad to be your friend and to talk!!

    Missing my mom. Need advice!

Wow.. That must be so tough!!! I understand kind of what you're going through though. You see, my parents divorced when I was like three years old, and it absolutely broke my heart! I live with my Mum now and my Step dad. And its been tough. I'm kinda close to my real Dad, though he hardly contacts me, nor do I have the chance to visit him much. Like I might be lucky to see him once a year and that, so I know what you're going through! Life sure throws things at you.. So, in answering your questions, I'll try my best to answer! 1. First off though, exactly how does she abuse/neglect you? Like verbally, physcially, emotionaly or? Because depending on how she treats you..depends on how you'd react/contact her and that. I think, if your Mum really truly cares about you, you should try and contact her again, because if you keep putting it off, one day you might regret it if its too late, to make amends, you know what I mean? I also think, if she has absoloute no interest in seeing you again, then give her some time and just pray for her every day. Only God can change her heart. Though try and contact her if you can, thats all you can do, and just pray and hope. 2. As to what to say to her without offending her, just say what's on your heart, and maybe ask advice from your Dad and ask God what to say. I don't exactly know, because there's no right or wrong. Perhaps say something along the lines of "Hey Mum. Its been ages since I've heard from you, how are you doing, whats been happening?" And just start off small, and if she responds well, you can eventually go deeper, but I would take it very slow, mind you.. otherwise she might feel hurt/angry. Just give it time. 3. Kinda answered it in the first I think! I hope this helps, tell me if it answers your questions!! Also..just pray for her! And I'll try my best to remember to pray for ya too! I'm hear if you need more advice or just a friend to talk to! I know what you're going through.. one other question, how has she been abusing/neglecting you, like physcially, verbally, emotionally or? Hope that helps!!! Praying for you! Hope it all goes well!

How do you get to know God?

For me personally, I feel closer to God when Its just me and him, enjoying nature. I like to enjoy the views, and everything he's created. Also, can I recommend a really awesome book that has helped me feel closer to God? Its designed just for Teenage girls & women its called - His Princess by Sheri Rose Shepherd, seriously, get it you won't regret it! Also.. I love to just pray, usually at night before I go to sleep and everyone's asleep..I feel a closer connection, when its silent.. And also reading a good spiritual book including the Bible. Have you ever tried writing a small letter to God? I have..and it helps me grow closer to God or even writing your prayers in a special journal, thats really special! Best wishes, praying! xx

    Hey Welcome!!

No I don't believe in the Rapture, its false. God clearly says in his word that every eye shall see him at the Second Coming!!! "Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen."

    First time Job

Hey guys! So tomorrow I'm applying for a casual job at Kmart (Au), and am only 15.. any tips for dropping off a resume to the manager? What to say? And I'd like to know what jobs you have, pay, things like that, to help me get a feel for working! Thanks guys!
  11. Its true that we can worship God on any day, at any time.. and he wants us to. But in saying that, God also tells us to set aside ONE day, The Sabbath, Saturday to just reflect and spend time with him..its usually the day we go to church, away from the worlds distracts to spend time with Him. 8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. (Exodus 20:8-11)

  13. I think you're pretty much falling into the Seventh Day Adventist Church! I'm a SDA, and have found this the truth..and believe a lot of what you just mentioned. Check out Seventh Day Adventists, and let me know how you go! Also..What do you see as the true sabbath? Because God created Saturday to be the Sabbath, yet you will often find many religions out there, worship on Sunday, yet God clearly states in the bible that Saturday is the Sabbath because God created the world in 7 days, and rested on the SEVENTH day, to end his work. NOT the first day of the week, which is Sunday. I'd encourage you to look that up... Also, the Sabbath was changed many years ago by Roman Catholics, from Saturday to Sunday (I've done huge study on this! and there's HEAPS of evidence..!) in order to bridge the non christians and christians together, on one new day so they set aside Sunday as their 'Sabbath' to 'bridge' non christians and christians together.. Hence why so many religions today are still keeping the wrong day. Many do not know the truth behind it though. God clearly shows us it is the Sabbath we are to keep, on Saturday (God rested the seventh day and hallowed it) In Genesis. Its all there. Let me know how you go! The Sabbath is a HUGE factor for which 'dominiation' you fall into... But yeah, let me know what you think and how you go! Search Seventh day adventist beliefs too!

    God's Voice

I think it depends. Often we don't exactly neccessairly hear God 'Speak' verbally to us, sure he does, just maybe not the way you'd expect. God's our Best friend, have to completely agree with you on that.. but the main way I hear God speak to me to my heart, is through the Bible, its full of answers to life's questions, of course, not every question, because we'll find out one day in Heaven.. But often I hear God speaking to me through his Holy Bible, and it warms my heart... Hearing Gods voice, can also come through a strong impression from the Holy Spirit, that 'impressions' upon your heart.. like a feeling.. but he definitely can talk to you as well, but more of a quiet whisper, more of an impression though.
