    The God that did nothing

Wow. I feel so bad for you guys. I don't know how to explain to you what you're missing. You cling to your logic, intelligence, ability to reason, and ability to debate as your god. Your essentially worshiping yourself. Please, test the Yaweh that you don't believe in. He is the only thing that can change your life, give it meaning, and truly show "the way", "the truth", and "the light" Nothing I say, no logical reasoning I present, and no argument I present to you can give you anything like what HE can. So ask him. Truly ask him. He waits for all who come. (I know it might offend some of yall, but I'm praying for all of you)
  2. Did God not institute Passover, the Feast of Booths, The Feast of Tabernacles, The Lord's Supper (do this in remembrance of me)? Did He not institute the traditional Saccrifices that have since bean repealed by Hebrews? Did God not institute the tradtion of resting on the Seventh day of the week? Or were all of these simply: " 'Tradtions of men' turned into 'Traditions of the Bible' " ?
  3. @Zabby: Yeah, but you see, all of those "traditions" you just mentioned were the ones taught in the BIBLE. and the verse I mentioned (btw, forgive me for not citing the whole chapter) was condemning the "traditions of MEN" not the traditions taught in the Bible.
  4. Is that a glorious Focke-Wulf 190 I am seeing?

    Universalism: Shall All Be Saved?

Nicene: It seems in every single issue, be it creation or hell etc. In order to defend your point you have to make sure that there is some allegorical, or symbolical meaning to every single passage in the Bible. Is it just possible that maybe, when the Bible uses symbolism, that it is being symbolic, and that when the Bible uses literal speech predicting literal events, that it just might, just might be talking literally?
  6. Jakob. I'll pray for you man.
  7. Ok, I see your point about asking for a saint to pray for you, but it does seem rather ridiculous to ask for a human, (even one that is now perfect) to pray for you, when you could ask for God himself to intercede on your behalf. But you can ask for someone to pray for you if you want I suppose.
  8. 1 John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 1 John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. 2 John 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
  9. Ok, I'm really sorry about the title. I just had to do the Alliteration though. Anyways: There are many who will claim that Homosexuality is right, (with, in my opinion, no Biblical basis) and there are many who claim it is wrong. Now, that in itself is enough of an argument for quite a while, but I would like to focus elsewhere. There are many people on both sides of this argument that hate on another. Sadly, even Christians who disagree with homosexuality will act in hatred towards homosexuals. And on that same token, even some pro-homosexual people, hate those who disagree with them. Jesus made it very plain: Matthew 5:21-22 21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: 22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. Hatred is given the same punishment as murder, and not even hatred, but something we would almost consider an accident: anger without a cause. Keep in mind that though you may hate someone's actions, be that homosexuality or anything else, hating them and hating their actions are two very different things. Hating homosexuality would be considered a biblically righteous thing to do, but hating homosexual's would be considered the same as homicide.

    Universalism: Shall All Be Saved?

How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?
  11. Um, praying to someone and exalting them as "the mother of God" is definitely making them a deity. You don't pray to someone who can't answer prayers, and only God answers prayers. And if you say that she doesn't answer them, just takes them to Jesus, then how about this verse: For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus,

    question on LOVE

Look at what God did for us. He gave us everything he had, and thought only of our good in everything he did. That is the goal in any friendship, romance, or even marriage. Help someone else, and put their needs and wants in front of your own.
  13. I think it is sad how many core doctrines of Christianity, are not only being questioned, but being rejected, and not by the lost. But by those who claim to be Christians.

    1. Jakob

      Jakob

Well, some core doctrines I think do open themselves to scrutiny.

of course, but I am not talking about gray areas, but about the plain, this is what God says places.

    Gay Marraige

Homosexuality is very clearly stated as WRONG in Scripture. A whole city was destroyed for this and many other perverse sins. However, hatred is very clearly stated as MURDER in Scripture. Murderers were given the same punishment often. Death. So, if you are tempted to hate your brother, for whatever cause, or even to hate an unsaved sinner, for whatever cause. Remember, there is a sin unto death, and for each person that is different, but I would not like to have murder on my account. That is not something I want Jesus to have to forgive me for.

    Universalism: Shall All Be Saved?

Psalm 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. Rev 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Yes, people will die, and go to hell, and no, they don't just burn up and disappear. It will go on forever and ever, and cease not day or night.
