the priest must sprinkle some blood of the red heifer with his finger toward the front of the meeting tent, and the he shall cast into the midst of the burning heifer, cedar wood, hyssop and scarlet? the ashes of the red heifer shall be kept for use in the cleansing water for purification from sin. whoever?fails to purify himself defiles the tent of the lord, that person must be cut off because the water of cleansing has not been sprinkled on him, his uncleanness remains on him. the lord said to Aaron, only your sons who are ritually clean may eat of the most sacred offerings, the sin offerings and the repayment offerings. you must eat these things in a holy place.

    BIBLE PROMISES

Greetings my fellow Christian brothers and sisters, I love to speak the truth and I have very serious questions that I think many believers would like to know the answer to. Can you tell me please why does God's word promise so much and yet fulfils so very little to nothing in the lives of many devout Christians, in terms of, for example: long life, health, peace, joy and happiness, etc? Instead, I've seen many atheists who live very healthy, prosperous and happy lives and they obviously don't believe in keeping God's commandments. Doesn't the Bible lose credibility in this way? Isn't this part of the reason why many people don't take God, His commandments or the Bible seriously? In other words, why do not all devout Christians live long lives and have optimum health as countless scriptures promise, such as: Psalms 84; 90, 91; 103; Pr 10:27, etc? There are many scriptures about healing: Exodus 15:26 - “…I am the Lord who heals you.” The scripture in John 10:10: states: "... I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." Doesn't this scripture mean that God desires for us faithful Christians to be in optimum health? Only when someone is healthy can he or she have life to the full. Not when our bodies are incapacitated or debilitated by pain, sickness or disease. Psalms 103:2-3 - Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases. The verse in Proverbs 4:22 refers to God's word and states: "for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body." Many other scriptures state that God wants us healed and whole: For example: Isaiah 53:5 - But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. Jeremiah 30:17 - “I will give you back your health and heal your wounds,” says the Lord. 1 Peter 2:24 - "He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” Romans 8:11 - And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you. Romans 8:32 - He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? There are many examples of miracles and healings as recorded in the bible. Here are just a few scriptural examples: Leper in Galilee (Mt 8:1-4); Paralytic (palsy) at Capernaum (Mt 9:2-8); Man with a withered hand in Galilee possibly Capernaum (Mt 12:10-13); Women with issue of blood (hemorrhaging) healed at Capernaum during first preaching tour through Galilee (Mt 9:20-22); Two blind men at Capernaum (on the northern shore of the Sea of Galilee) (Mt 9:27-31); Two Blind Men Departing Jericho (Mt 20:29-34); Jesus raises a dead girl and heals a sick woman (Mk 5:21-43); and many others as we read in: Mt 4:23-24; Mt 8:5–7, 16-17; Mt 9:6-7; Mt 15:30; Mt 20:34; Mk 3:1-5; Mk 5:25-29; Mk 10:49-52; Lk 4:40; Lk 6:19; Lk 7:12-15; Lk 13:11-13; Jn 5:5-9; Ac 10:38, etc. Psalm 107:19–20 - “Lord, help!” they cried in their trouble, and He saved them from their distress. He sent out His word and healed them, snatching them from the door of death. Psalm 91:3 - For He will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. 3 John 1:2 - Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers. Here is another example: Psalm 91: Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.” The promise of blessings, including: peace, protection, happiness, healing, long-life and prosperity is not just in the Old Testament (Ex 20:12; Dt 5:16; Ps 34:12-16; Pr 22:9), but reaffirmed in the New Testament (2 Cor 9:10; Eph 6:2-3; 1 Pe 3:9-10). Innumerable scriptures promise peace, joy, strength, protection, provision and prosperity. Here are just a few: Ro 5:1 - Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, Ps 1:1-3 - Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers. Ps 4:8 - In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety. Ps 12:5 - “Because the poor are plundered and the needy groan, I will now arise,” says the Lord. “I will protect them from those who malign them.” Ps 16:11 - You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. Ps 29:11 - The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace. Ps 46:1 - God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Psalm 105:37 - He also brought them out with silver and gold, and there was none feeble among His tribes. Ps 119:165 - Great peace have those who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble. Ps 138:7 - Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life. You stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes; with your right hand you save me. Pr 10:22 - The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it. Pr 22:9 - The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor. Is 32:17 - The fruit of that righteousness will be peace; its effect will be quietness and confidence forever. Is 41:10 - So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Jer 17:8 - They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” Php 4:7 - And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Php 4:19 - And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. Ro 15:13 - May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. 2 Cor 9:8 - And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 2 Cor 9:10 - Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. 2 Thess 3:3 - But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. 3 John 1:2 - Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. My mother and I both repented, lived holy lives, with clean hands and pure hearts. God was first love and first priority. We prayed for at least 3 hours each and every day, and studied the Bible for at least 1 hour every day. Prayer was the very first thing in the morning. Our faith was very strong. We strove to obey God's commandments, including keeping the Sabbath day holy. We attended Sabbath services. We served God. Preached the true gospel. We both practiced abstinence, self-sacrifice and self-discipline, so we didn't spend money on holidays, restaurants or other pleasures. We were truly faithful disciples of Christ, by striving to live according to His word. Out of the little that we had, we donated money to charities and helped homeless people. We were never ever involved in occultism. My mother was totally faithful to my father in marriage, although he was very abusive towards her. Although, she forgave him many times, the abuse didn't stop. On the contrary, the more she forgave, the worse the abuse became. It reached a point where she had no choice but to divorce him. From then on, my mother never remarried. She lived the life of a widow for twenty years. We lived a very modest and quiet life. We practiced celibacy and sexual abstinence. Our lives resembled those of nuns. My mother was very protective of me and she taught me to pray since I was two years of age. While parents usually read fairy tale stories to their children, I slept with the Bible under my pillow, which I took with me to the private school that my mother enrolled me in, and I learned about God. We put so much faith and trust in God and I feel like He has really let us down. The verses in Psalm 103:1-5 state: "Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. The Lord works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed." My mother suffered from colorectal cancer which spread to her liver and kidneys, heart failure, pulmonary edema and anaemia, including numerous other medical issues. I was completely shocked, devastated and heartbroken when my mother passed away at an early age, and I read her long medical report, which went on and on. She was in terrible pain and had near fatal falls on a few occasions. Despite praying to God continuously, from early morning until late at night, with fasting and begging for my mother to be healed, my prayers returned unanswered. The more I prayed and fasted, the worse her health became. It deteriorated so much that she was bed-ridden for one year and couldn't see the light of day. None of these illnesses run on my mother's side of the family. We both took care of our health by drinking fruit and vegetable juices, exercising and more importantly, absolutely NO smoking, drugs or alcohol. While other people were celebrating Mother's Day with gifts like cakes, chocolates and flowers, as well as dining with their mothers at restaurants or taking them on luxury cruises, my mother was in the morgue awaiting cremation. God's people are plagued by an entire series of extremely serious illnesses—including a number of leading people directly involved in the work. During the 1980's there was a huge number of ministers wives that were stricken. It has always been a fact that wives of so many ministers and church leaders have been stricken by cancer. In 2016, Cornerstone Contact Centre pastor Don Cameron died at the age of 45 years, after a battle with cancer. Jeffery Largent, pastor of Culver flock passed away in 2016, at the age of 59 years, after his second battle with cancer. Church of the Highlands Greystone Campus Pastor Keith Lindsey passed away in 2016 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Kara Tippetts, wife of PCA church pastor Jason Tippetts of Westside Church, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is a devout Christian mother of four, who had stage-four breast cancer and passed away at the age of 38, in 2015, after a long battle. In 2014, Steve Hill, the evangelist of the Brownsville Revival, passed away at his Alabama home Sunday after fighting a long battle with cancer. He was 60 years old. LaKisha died in 2014, at the age of 40 after an 18-month battle with breast cancer. She was the wife of Pastor Breonus Mitchell of Greater Grace Temple Community Church. A Wesleyan pastor, Daniel “Danny” Eiler, age 30, passed away in 2014, after battling leukemia. He served as senior pastor of The Springs Community Church in Ringgold, Georgia. David Landrith, senior pastor of Long Hollow Baptist Church in Hendersonville, died at age 51. Landrith was diagnosed with an extremely rare and aggressive form of cancer known as colorectal melanoma in 2013. In 2009, founder and pastor of Victory Christian Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Billy Joe Daugherty's battle with cancer took a turn for the worse as he fought an infection at Houston's M.D. Anderson Hospital. He passed away at the age of 57 years. The list goes on and on ... My mother's faith was very strong right to the very end when she passed away, and I wish to point out the fact that I even called for the elders of the church to anoint my mother with olive oil, as the following scripture states in: James 5:14-15 - Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. The scripture obviously wasn't fulfilled in my mother's life who was a faithful Christian, and the lives of many other faithful Christians. As stated previously, God's promises are not just found in the Old Testament, but reaffirmed in the New Testament, as we read in James 5:14-15 as well as many other scriptural references that I've already quoted previously. At the beginning of the chapter in 1 Cor 12, we read that Paul is addressing brothers and sisters. "Now about the gifts of the Spirit, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed." Verse 7-10 mentions: "Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines." One of the important ministries of the Holy Spirit to believers today, is His bestowal of spiritual gifts on Christians at the time of their conversion. Ephesians 2:10 mentions: "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." The only way we can do good works is if our bodies are not incapacitated or debilitated by pain, sickness or disease. If gifts of healing and miracles are operating in the lives of Christians in these churches, then there would be NO sicknesses, suicides, and crimes such as murder happening there. Suicide is happening at an alarming rate in the Churches of God with so many pastors committing suicide. Living Church of God - Joplin, Missouri pastor Karl Beyersdorfer killed himself on 5/27/2016. Others who committed suicide in the Worldwide Church of God are mentioned in the below article: http://hwarmstrong.com/suicide-statistics.htm The following verses refer to believers in Christ Jesus: Mark 16:17-18 - And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” The following link displays an article on miracle workers who couldn't heal themselves: http://www.bible.ca/tongues-miracles-fake-pentecostal.htm The list goes on and on. The verse in Exodus 20:12 states: “Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you. It is reaffirmed in the New Testament in: Ephesians 6:2-3 - “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise—“so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.” Psalm 90:10 tells us how many years a long life is: "Our days may come to seventy years, or eighty, if our strength endures; During my lifetime, I've seen mothers who honoured their parents and yet lived short lives, like my mother who honored both her parents and grandparents. On the other hand, mothers who dishonoured their parents and yet lived to ripe old ages of over 80 years of age. There are even criminals, such as serial killers, rapists and paedophiles who live long lives on the earth. While at the same time, a shocking number of innocent people are sentenced to death. One of the ways in which we honor our parents is by having a clean criminal record. Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, "tells you that a surprising number of innocent people are sentenced to death," Samuel R. Gross, the lead author, said in an interview with Newsweek. "It tells you that a lot of them haven't been exonerated. Some of them no doubt have been executed." The headline on newsweek.com is "One in 25 sentenced to death in the U.S. is innocent, study claims." Do all these convicted criminals deserve to live, and my mother who was a godly, holy, righteous mother deserve to die, along with all these other devout Christians? Charles Manson, the convicted American serial killer is still alive today at the age of 82 years. Charles Albright, known as the eyeball killer, is 83 years. The nurse Jane Toppan, a serial killer, lived to be 81 years of age. Edward Theodore Gein was an American murderer and body snatcher. He died at the age of 78 years. Ian Brady, the child killer is 78 years. Robert Hansen, the serial killer died at the age of 75 years. Dennis Rader is 71 years of age. Phillip Jablonski, another serial killer is 70 years of age, and the list goes on and on. Incarcerated criminals enjoy the fresh air and sunshine with fitness and recreational activities, including sports, gym, pool tables and so forth. These prisons are more like holiday resorts. Charles Manson, the ringleader of the killer cult still remains unrepentant even at the ripe old age of 82 years, just like many other criminals. I'm puzzled as to why God allowed all these criminals to live long lives. Was He waiting for them to turn to Him and repent? But God has foreknowledge. We find instead, that they committed more and more crimes, while growing old without any sign of remorse? Psalm 91:16 states: "With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.” This verse is supposed to be referring to devout believers. Instead, we see that the criminals are the ones who are living long lives. Why would God want to satisfy scum of the earth with long lives? The Bible also states that God has foreknowledge. Therefore, He knows in advance whether anyone will repent. Isaiah 46:9-10 - Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: If God made us for a reason and that is to begin a relationship with, serve and obey Him, then why doesn't He grant long lives to those devout Christians who do good deeds. It is God who decides when we are born and how long we live according to: Psalm 139:16: "Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." God is the one who planned the days of our lives in advance, choosing the exact time of our birth and death. This goes for criminals too, as well as many famous atheists who have lived to ripe old ages including: Diana Athill (99), Katharine Hepburn (96), Baba Amte (94), Uri Avnery (93), Julius Axelrod (92), Marlene Dietrich (91), Kai Nielsen (90), Henry Burstow (90), Jorge Amado (89), Eric Ambler (89), Tom Lehrer (88), James Randi (88), Paul Kurtz (87), Edward O. Wilson (87), Larry Adler (87), Mary Adams (86), Jemima Blackburn (86), Michael Martin (84), Philip Roth (83), Steven Weinberg (83), Victor Stenger (81), Robert Altman (81), Woody Allen (81), and many others. The verse in Isaiah 30:18 states that the Lord is a God of justice. "Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!" Where is the justice? I'm absolutely appalled and disgusted by the injustice not only in the Christian community, but in the world today. I believe these injustices promote and encourage evil all the more. Many devout believers have been martyred who were very faithful to God, like Stephen and all of the twelve apostles who died as martyrs during the first century, with the exception of John, the writer of the Gospel with his name and the Book of Revelation who died a natural death, at 94 years of age, close to the year 100 A.D. A report issued by a Christian organization fighting religious persecution states that a Christian is killed for his or her faith every five minutes across the world. It has escalated dramatically over the centuries, with more Christian martyrs in the 20th and 21st centuries than in the preceding 19 centuries — going back to Jesus Christ’s earthly ministry. The situation is only getting worse. Over 75% of Christians persecuted in North Korea who are subjected to torture, imprisonment and all sorts of punishment do not survive to tell their stories. Currently, more than 200 million Christians around the world are threatened because of their faith. Is God pleased with martyrdom? Does it give Him satisfaction to see many Christians martyred for their faith. Does God consider it a sacrifice that brings glory and honour to Him, thereby pleasing and acceptable? Thank you. God bless you, Rachel Henderson
  5. I am starting a Bible study where I live (I am not telling where) because I felt god leading me like, a couple weeks ago in that direction. Trouble is, I'm in middle school and this is for youth girls in middle-to-high school so idk if high schoolers will listen to me, and I'm very shy and don't know if I will do good with leading (but a really awesome senior is helping out and so is my mom so that helps) and I don't know where to get good resources (a lot of resources require getting expensive books for every person there and I can't afford that :/). SO I may need a lot of prayer (i didn't know where to post this: here or in prayer stuff). If it's not too much trouble, please pray that the bible study will impact many lives and that God will help me lead the study and give me wisdom to do the right things. And also if anyone knows where to get good resources that would help loads. Well, goodbye for now!

Trouble is, I'm in middle school and this is for youth girls in middle-to-high school so idk if high schoolers will listen to me because I'm young, and I'm very shy and don't know if I will do well leading a bunch of teenagers, but a really awesome senior is helping out and so is my mom so that helps. And I don't know where to get good resources online. My dad (the youth pastor at our church) showed me some good sites for that kind of stuff, but a lot of resources require getting expensive books for every person there and I can't afford that :/. Bible game for Android

Hi, I am new here. So one question. I made a Bible game called "Bible Gems" for Android, can I promote my game here? It is pure Bible Game and it includes KJV translations and 3 match gaming. I won't put the link if it is against rules but if I can put the link i will put it later when I'll get more information about this.
  8. Hi, I am an evangelical Christian. Although, I am not as spiritual as my parents, I think I am far better than my fellow friends. My parents are very strict and they don't allow me to do what I desire. I am an eighteen-year-old and they don't give me enough freedom. Last day, I talked to them about having a breast augmentation from Sarnia, and they are not allowing me to do so. They are saying that we don't have the right to alter what God has gifted us. Is having a breast augmentation surgery a transgression against God? We have the duty to maintain what God has gifted us. I have also read somewhere that those who don't love themselves cannot love their neighbors. What are your thoughts on this topic? Please share.

Hi, everyone! I'm so delighted to be a part of this community. I can't wait to connect with all of you! Anyone in need of a good reminder of His love right now? I know I do.. My favorite verse from here is Job 34:19 – “He doesn't care how great a person may be, and he pays no more attention to the rich than to the poor. He made them all.” What's yours? 1. Ephesians 2:4-5 – “But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God's grace that you have been saved!)” 2. Psalm 86:15 – “But you, O Lord, are a God of compassion and mercy, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness.” 3. John 3:16 – “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” 4. Romans 5:8 – “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” 5. Psalm 147:3 – “He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.” 6. Psalm 103:8 – “The LORD is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.” 7. 1 John 4:19 – “We love each other because he loved us first.” 8. Isaiah 53:5 – “But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.” 9. Psalm 103:13 – “The LORD is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him.” 10. Lamentations 3:22-23 – “The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.” 11. 1 Peter 5:6-7 – “So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” 12. 1 John 3:1 – “See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don't recognize that we are God's children because they don't know him.” 13. 1 John 4:10 – “This is real love--not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.” 14. Job 34:19 – “He doesn't care how great a person may be, and he pays no more attention to the rich than to the poor. He made them all.” 15. Zephaniah 3:17 – “For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs." ________________________________ www.girlandtheword.com
  10. I tend to mainly read psalms because I'm not sure how to start. When I read other books, I tend to get confused or not understand what is going on at all. It's so frustrating because I feel like I should be able to know all the bible stories. I know some from children books that I used to have. But I don't know all of them. I feel like a failed christian haha :/

    The Way Home

The Way Home I was born in the countryside. My father was ill since my birth. Nevertheless, he played together with me every day. Carrying me on his shoulders, he climbed up the hill and told me stories. In a word, I had a carefree childhood. When I was seven years old, my father passed away with endless indebtedness for my younger brother and me, with concerns for my mother, and with attachment for the world. On that day, I was at school, missing the last chance to see him. After I went back home, I saw a noisy crowd and heard my mom’s helpless cry. I just stood there and suddenly felt very lonely and unassisted. Even though I was so young, I knew that my fate would be different from then on. It seemed that my memory was frozen at that moment when I realized that I had become a fatherless child. My father’s death greatly increased our economic burden. With all our savings spent on his illness, my mother was forced to work around the clock. In order to ease her burden, I, being naughty, became well-behaved. I learnt to help her do all sorts of housework and took care of my younger brother. Since then, because of our family’s misfortune, my carefree childhood ended. In the meantime, I witnessed the selfishness and indifference among men. Other children in our village bullied my younger brother and me, saying that we were fatherless children. My uncles and aunts always found fault with my mother, and they even intended to forcibly occupy the only heritage left by my father, a three-room house which we lived in. Other relatives also cold-shouldered us, fearing that we would borrow money from them. In time of crisis, they not only didn’t give us a hand, but instead exposed their greedy nature, trying to drive us away. Despite my tender years, I could feel the worldly evil and interpersonal ruthlessness from my mother’s helpless and tired eyes. During that period, in addition to helping my mother with the housework, I did nothing but to study hard. I made up my mind to enter a good university through efforts and take my mother and younger brother away from the heartbreaking place. Therefore, I was very hardworking and always came out on top. I entered the best junior school and high school in our place. When I saw my mother’s contented smile, I felt very happy and became more hardworking, for I wanted to change my fate with my own efforts. However, things went crisscross. Two months before the college entrance examination, I was sleepless and had nightmares every night because of overdue stress. Sometimes, I couldn’t fall asleep anymore after waking up from nightmares. I had no choice but to stare at the ceiling and wait for dawn. Even though I did all I could, my ability fell short of my wishes. The examination results came out, and I failed to enter my dream university. At that moment, I was utterly disheartened and again fell into loneliness and helplessness, feeling the emptiness and meaninglessness of life. Suddenly, I couldn’t find my direction of life and lost my motivation because of my shattered dream. It seemed that I returned to the moment when I was seven years old, like an orphan who had wandered for years and couldn’t find the way home…. When I felt perplexed at the first crossroad of my life, Almighty God’s end-time work came upon my mother. I felt so curious and puzzled when I found a sunny smile on her face, which I hadn’t seen for a long time. My sadness and helplessness laid in both my shattered dream and my indebtedness to her years of sacrifice and expectation. However, she didn’t feel disappointed for my failure in entering the ideal university. Instead, she comforted me in earnest, “My daughter, it doesn’t matter that you failed to enter the university. I used to work hard for money. It’s true that I expected you to enter the university and stand out from others. Because of that, I supported you for education despite great hardship. Through readingGod’s word, I finally understood that man’s destiny is in the Creator’s hand rather than in his own hand. Thus, no matter how hard one tries, it is all in vain. Only if we rely on God can we see His proper arrangement for our destiny.” Then she read a passage of Almighty God’s word to me, “All men’s destinies are in God’s hand. You cannot control yourself. Even if man is always running about and busy for himself, he cannot control himself. If you could touch your future and control your destiny, would you be called a created being? Anyway, whatever work God does is for mankind, just as the heavens and the earth and all things created by God are for serving man. He created the moon, the sun, and the stars for man, created animals and plants for man, made spring, summer, autumn, and winter for man, and so on. He did all these for man’s existence. So, no matter how He chastises and judges man, it is for saving man. Even if He deprives man of his fleshly hope, it is still for purifying man. And purifying man is for man’s existence. All men’s destinations are in the hand of the Creator. How could men control themselves?” (from The Word Appears in the Flesh) Then she started to fellowship with me about God’s will, “Today God came to the world to save men. He wants to seek those who have been severely afflicted by Satan and suffered many hardship in the world but can truly seek and believe in Him. God’s heart is grieved because He has worked among men for many years but few know that. God feels sad for the innocent ones who live in the darkness and misery. He hopes that we can all come before Him and accept the salvation and blessing from Him.” Then she asked me to read more of Almighty God’s words, “The Almighty has mercy on these people who suffer deeply. At the same time, He is fed up with these people without any consciousness, because He has to wait too long for the answer from humans. He desires to seek your heart and your spirit. He wants to bring you food and water and to awaken you, so you are no longer thirsty, no longer hungry. When you are weary and when you begin to feel the desolation of this world, don’t be perplexed, don’t cry. Almighty God, the Watcher, will embrace your arrival any time. He is there by your side, waiting for you to turn back. He is waiting for the day your memory suddenly recovers: becoming conscious of the fact that you came from God, somehow and somewhere once lost, falling unconscious on the roadside, and then, unknowingly having a ‘father.’ You further realize that the Almighty has been there awaiting your return all along. He longs bitterly, waiting for a response without an answer. His wait is priceless and is for the heart and the spirit of humans. Perhaps this wait is indefinite, and perhaps this wait is at its end. But you should know exactly where your heart and soul are now.” (from The Word Appears in the Flesh) While reading these words which I had never heard before, I felt that every single word was so sincere and moving, as if a mother was softly calling her children who had wandered away for several years. Although I hadn’t known or understood Him, I could feel His concern and admonishment for human beings between the lines. Little by little, my heart was moved and warmed. I could see light and hope and had the feeling of being cared and comprehended. My gloomy heart suddenly became enlightened. At that moment, I finally had the direction and motivation to move forward. In these words, I found my way home. After that, I read more words of Almighty God. Especially every time I read that God was incarnated and endured great humiliation to save us who had been deeply afflicted by Satan, I was greatly moved. Almighty God says, “All those who have read the Bible know that when the Lord Jesus was born, there happened many things. The biggest among them was that He was hunted by the king of devils and even all children under the age of two in the whole city were killed. It can be seen that what a great risk God took when He was incarnated and came among men, that what a great price God paid in order to accomplish His management of saving mankind, and that what a great expectation God had for His being incarnated to work among men. When God’s flesh was adequate to undertake the work among men, how did God’s heart feel? Man should know something about it, right? At least, God’s heart was happy, because His new work could be carried out among men. When the Lord Jesus was baptized and formally began to do His work and perform His ministry, God’s heart was extremely happy, because after having waited and prepared for so many years, God finally could put on a normal human flesh and begin to do His new work in the image of a man who had blood and flesh and who could be seen and touched by man. He finally could speak with man face to face and have a heart-to-heart talk with man face to face in the capacity of a man, and He finally could be face to face with man in human language and in a human way, could supply man or guide and help man in human language, could eat at the same table and live in the same space with man, and also could look at mankind, look at things, and look at everything in a human way and even with human eyes. These, to God, meant that His work in the flesh had succeeded in the first battle, or it could be said to have been crowned with success. That was certainly the happiest thing to God. From that moment, God felt for the first time a kind of comfort for His working among men. All this happened so practically and so naturally, and the comfort God felt was so real. This is because to mankind, whenever God accomplishes a stage of new work and whenever God feels gratified, it is the time mankind can come nearer to God and is also the time man comes closer to being saved; to God, it is the time His new work can be carried out and His management plan progresses forward, much more the time His will can come closer to complete accomplishment. It is fortunate and great to mankind that such an opportunity comes to them. To all those waiting for God’s salvation, it is extremely good news.” (from A Continuation of The Word Appears in The Flesh) Through these words, I knew that the work done by God in His flesh every time was the need of us corrupt mankind. In this age, there is no understanding, love, consideration, or forbearance between people. Everyone is selfish and lives for money, fame, position, and enjoyment. To achieve their own aim, they intrigue against one another, fight overtly and covertly, suspect each other, and even lose their humanity and morality. In such an acquisitive world, the innocent mankind are crying and moaning in misery. Only the Creator observes all of these, and He cannot bear that we live in corruption and are trampled by Satan. Therefore, He is eager to save mankind from the abyss of misery, so that they can live in light, live in the pleasant destination prepared by God for mankind in the beginning. God comes in the flesh again to express His word. It contains God’s great love and salvation for mankind. God’s heart is delighted when He saves mankind personally. We are so lucky and happy to accept His salvation. So far, I have been following Almighty God for eight years. I often read God’s word together with other brothers and sisters. Time and again, my heart is moved and warmed by His word. I feel the love which can never be found in this world. Finally, I find my true home where I will never feel lonely or unassisted. If you, just like me, have been hurt by this world, unable to feel the warmth of the world or find the direction of going forward, reduced to despair and helplessness, please read the word of Almighty God. You will find the way you should walk. My friends, no matter how far you go away, please don’t forget to come home.
  12. Your favorite bible book, besides psalms and proverbs... It's hard to say for me but maybe Colossians or Isaiah... My favorite translation is The Message.. It makes it soo much easier to understand.
  13. I want to read the bible but I don't really know where to start. I usually just read psalms and proverbs. Or some random sporadic verses here and there. But if I want to read everything, how do I know where to start. Some say the new testament, but I'm just not sure where.... Please don't judge me for the fact I barely know all of the biblical stories. I've literally only completed Genesis, Exodus, Songs, Psalms, Proverbs, and Revelation. The rest of the stuff was so hard to understand and I get confused very easily so I give up. Sometimes I would literally look up the stories instead of reading them, because reading them is too confusing. I just want help :/ I want to read it all and be familiar, and able to understand. Please give me your input! -xoxo

    Rules in Leviticus

I was always really confused and quite upset about the rules in Leviticus that seemed to forbid eating certain types of meats, wearing garments made from two diferent materials, et cetera. But then I did a bit of looking around and I found an article that I will put at the bottom of the page. It's about eating pork, but I think it applies to the other rules as well. Has anyone else been confused/worried about having to keep these rules? Do you think the article is right? http://www.apologeticspress.org/apcontent.aspx?category=11&article=2023
  16. My brother is very devoted to this woman he's going to marry. Due to some abuse at her place (not physical...emotional and mental abuse where her mother would call her a 'lazy, fat cow' even though she works hard and is too skinny for her own good), she lives with my brother in the basement suite that my brother has been renovating. They are of age, and they started having safe sex after they were engaged to each other. They are both wonderful Christians. She was in the nursery to help take care of the kids (responsible and a joy to be around), and both of them were in the Worship group for Sunday service. My parents have been accepting of it, and they are Baptist Christians. We all went to the same church. But, I recently found out that the church banned them from joining in the worship team, babysitting, or anything like that! They basically turned their backs on them, and now they're left looking for a new church. The two love each other a LOT, and they are devoted to each other. I guarantee you, knowing my brother, that the relationship isn't going to end until one of them DIES. I used to go to the church, and I had some nice friends there with kids as well (I have a toddler son), but now I'm wondering if we should just look for a new church. I'm very hurt by what the church did, and frankly, the pastor has hurt me in the past when I was going through an identity crisis (I have borderline, and my gender at one point was in question in my mind so strongly, I finally called myself bigender, but not bisexual). He wanted me to change so I was perfectly a girl, even though that's NEVER been the case with me my whole life because of my mental disorder. I just need someone to help me out with this. I'm torn, because I want to stay where there were some good friends, but at the same time, I want to stay loyal to my family and do what I feel is RIGHT. Is it possible to still have ties with those families outside the church without being awkward? Or, will it be too strange for me to go to another church while being on my brother's side when I want to still be friends? I'm a young mother (23 this year, married for three years) with a wonderful Christian husband, and he says that we should look for another church. HE feels that they're being too close-minded. We can't even find anywhere in the Bible that distinctly says not to live together before marriage. (Remember that the mother actually goes to that church too, and they probably wouldn't believe my brother if he told them what she says to his fiancee). This is more of a rant to get the feeling out, but I am curious to hear what young people now-a-days are thinking. After all, there's different ways of being married all over the world. Heck, you can be common-law and not technically married in this country, and that's legal and legit. But, what do the rest of you think?
  17. Bible commentators point out that this isn't a universal command, but was directed solely to the rich young ruler. This man wanted to be one of the Lord's disciples, but was turned away because he was unwilling to give up all of his money. Rather, the point is that Christians must be willing to sacrifice anything and everything they have that's demanded of them if they wish for salvation, which is greater than any temporary earthly pleasure (i.e. Matthew 13:44-46). This could be possessions, and/or sinful desires or practices which are condemned in scripture. But hypothetically, if God spoke to you today and said "You must sell everything you own and give all the money to the poor" what would you do? Assume for the sake of this thread that God definitely spoke those words to you (i.e. don't say "I'd assume it was all in my head"). Or even if it wasn't "sell everything and give all the money to the poor" but rather "Sell all your personal belongings and give to the poor, and donate three quarters of your money, but you may keep your house?" I would hope to love and fear the Lord more than anything, but I'd be unsure as to what to do in the first example. Because after you sell and give away everything, are you supposed to just live on the street and beg for money for the rest of your life? Nevertheless, I would feel I had to do something to meet the command because we need to obey God.
  18. So I came upon this page which basically states that some bibles (many) downplay or outright change some of the words in the bible. Do you think as christians we should only be read the King James Version (KJV)? Here's the website: http://www.av1611.org/nkjv.html

    Tattoos

Hey guys. God bless you all. I have posted this in the women's forum by mistake and I would like to repost it here. It regards the uncertainty of how God feels when His children decide to get a tattoo. They look cool and all, but we must remember our body is not ours, it's God's creation and we are to preserve them. Here is a verse I found in the New Testament regarding people who mutilate their bodies: Philippians 3:2 New International Version (NIV) 2 Watch out for those dogs, those evildoers, those mutilators of the flesh. God bless you and please do not turn this into a debate because the Word of God is clear. Thank you.
