So on Taylor Connect, the people who write songs post them on in a songbook thread. I was thinking of starting one here, but I wasn't sure which thread area I should introduce it in. I will only be writing the actual lyrics, not singing or anything. So do I put this in the WRITING thread or the MUSIC section? thanks for help!

The laying of hands I have a few points I would like others in the faith to discuss about. Is it biblical for anyone to call people forth for prayer after the preaching has finished? Is it biblical to pray for one another while laying a hand on another person's forehead? Is it biblical for one to use olive oil or oil of annointing on someone or something in prayer? (Other than for curing the sick?) Is frantic, headbanging, hairwhipping, shaking, revolutionized movement biblical or a manifestation of the Holy Spirit? Is it biblical to "run, laugh, shout, jump" in the Spirit? Is it biblical to speak tounges in jibberish or weird babbeling? "Bababababababa!" Is it biblical to enforce tithes? My indignation.

Hey y'all! I am a Christian, however I am relatively new to exploring it more so my questions seem endless. This is going to sound so silly, please don't judge, but how do you pray...or speak with Jesus. I've read that there is a difference, I'm not sure where but I've read that a prayer is a request for something and speaking with Jesus is just telling him things. I don't know. I was wondering if any of you could clear this up for me? I really want to pray/speak with Jesus, but I feel ridiculous every time I try..what do I say? How do I say it? That sort of thing. Thanks.

Okay, so... I know we're not supposed to, as Christians, delve into the dark arts of witchcraft and evil things of the like. So, I was sitting here thinking about this... Is getting your fortune told by a fortune teller a sin? That goes for fortune cookies, too. Is it a sin to believe what they say? (Just for the record, I only half believe in fortune cookies. Because those fortunes were written by human hands. And humans can put whatever they want on a tiny slip of paper and stick it into a cookie... =P)
