    The acts of Righteousness?

a particular passage I was reading through just now, made me curious, and put forth a question I do not know the answer to, so I was wondering if anyone here knew? I had to read the whole passage for the context to make sense, and I advise you to do the same. but if you don't have time, just read the bold text. Well that's true, I believe anyone can vouch for that, when you commit a sin, you feel totally disconnected from God, and from righteousness. If even for just a split second you feel as though they don't even exist. Now if you're sick, and actually like that feeling, it's pretty easy to find an act of sin to commit, in the scriptures. (I'm not going to give you an example.. just in case. ) But what I can't seem to find is acts of righteousness defined in the scriptures? It says: "Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey" Yet it seems as if, there are no clear acts of righteousness: How can I obey something/ someone that doesn't command me? Any help is welcomed!! though I may warn you, my attention to obey scripture is diligent. but to listen to random opinions, doesn't happen often for me.
