Uh, guys are naturally sexually inquisitive, so are women also(but womens' sexual peak is in their thirties so the inquisitiveness tends to manifest later) so all the time on a unconscious level, hormonally and biologically, are "thinking" EXACTLY what you think they're thinking: sex. Sex is in our biology and psychology, and you shouldn't feel hurt. Thinking about sex is not necessarily lustful bc it is completey natural to think about sex.[/b]
Guys are always subconsciously thinking about sex; we don't even need visual stimulation for it. You shouldn't feel hurt bc it's on a subconscious level.[/b]
i don't really see any logical reason for a girl to feel hurt by an assumption she herself made. the boyfriend could honestly be looking at nude photography with an interest in art. and even if he were to look at it lustfully, there's no reason for the girlfriend to feel hurt. maybe disappointed, but not hurt.[/b]
Maybe we should make a poll for this... I suspect otherwise.[/b]
Exactly. It is better for him to watch porn or look at nude photography, then go out and cheat on her with some other girls.[/b]
Well, the point of porn is to bring about sexual thoughts, so if my husband watched pornography I would be irritated because he would clearly be watching it for one reason. Lusting hardcore over other people having sex will hurt a marriage. But if the husband/wife/girlfriend/boyfriend or whatever has an issue about looking at a tastefully done nude photo/painting, then they shouldn't subject themselves to it. If they make the object into an object of lust, then don't look. I guess what I am trying to say is watching porn has one point whereas looking at nude art does not have "lust" as an objective.[/b]

Are polls disabled in the Christian Sexual Ethics section? Oh well. And shame my post isn't put in the proper perspective, but what I have to say below should set it straight. ;)

Do You *Always* Think About Sex?

1. Yes, quite a bit.

2. No, not really

3. Yes, but not too much.

4. No, rarely do i think about sex.

5. Eh, it depends.

7. Yes, And It Really Bothers Me.

Bah, the curse of being male, and the natural drives that come along with it. It bugs me; I'm usually chagrined after catching myself thinking about it. But for perspective, I think about silly nonsensical science fiction fantasies far more. So is it what dominates my thinking? No. But for some situations, there are triggers that might cause one to think about sex.

Do You *Always* Think About Girls In A Sexual Manner?

1. Yes, I do. I struggle quite a bit.

2. Yeah, I do, but I really try not to.

3. No, not always, though I struggle at times.

4. No, not really. I'm pretty disciplined with my thoughts.

5. No, I have no problems with this.

6. Yes, I do, And I don't See Anything Wrong With It.

7. Other

No, I don't usually think about gals in a sexual manner. I recognize that when I've lost the ability to see them as something other than sexual, I've lost the ability to value them. So I try to discipline myself. Usually when I'm thinking about gals in a sexual manner, it coincides with thinking about sex anyway...

Is Thinking About Sex Subconscious?

1. No, it's not. I have to make an effort to think about it.

2. No, it's not. But it's not hard to think about something sexual.

3. Yes, it is. I don't even realize I'm doing it most of the time.

4. Yes, it is. I am aware I think of it quite a bit, but it's nothing that bothers me.

5. Other

Undecided. Guys have natural sexual drives that God put inside of us. We just need to not abuse them. I can *make* myself think about sex, and then again I can *catch* myself thinking about sex.

Is It Better To Watch Porn Than Go and Cheat On Your Girlfriend/Fiance/Wife?

1. Yes. As long as it isn't physical, it's fine.

2. Yes, as long as it doesn't affect our relationship.

3. No, it's just as bad or worse.

4. No, it's the same thing as cheating.

5. Other

If any man looks upon a woman lustfully, he has already committed adultery with her. Words from Jesus. How you think is essentially who you are.

I normally don't think about sex, but when i do its more of about sex and never really "Having Sex," Sometimes when I really start to like someone a lot i may get an attraction to them, but generally it doesn't go much further than that sometimes it may go as far as wanting to just lie in their arms.

1. Do you always think about sex.

A fair amount and I'm fine with it. I'm 19, of course I'm going think about it a lot. It doesn't dominate my life, though.

2. Do you always think about girls in a sexual manner.

A sexual component is almost always present when in relation to girls. Whether I act on it is a very different story.

3. Is thinking about sex subconscious.

No, not really. Not sure what this means anyway.

4. Is it better to watch porn than cheat on your girlfriend/wife.

Absolutely. Masturbation is simply another form of sexuality for guys and is not necessarily a replacement of sexual activity with a partner or an indication of discontent in a relationship.

I find myself swinging between bouts of asexuality and extreme perversion.

1. No, not really

2. No, I have no problems with this.

3. (Other) I believe it depends on your daily routines. The things you do each day can affect your thoughts. If I'm thinking about sexual things about other girls very often, it will be likely that it will go through my mind involuntarily being so used to it. I went through this, so I know.

4. (Other) Living under God, they are both as bad. In God's eyes, they are both sin. They both way the same and the result for both is death. No matter how 'small' we may think a sin is, IT IS NOT. The result is THE SAME. DEATH.

Not always. In fact, I rarely do, except for the odd intrusive thought. You know, those annoying ones which are unwanted...

Do You *Always Think About Girls In A Sexual Manner?

No, don't think I ever have done.

Is Thinking About Sex Subconscious?

Partly, but when it's all subconscious you don't realise you're doing it, so you don't know that you are. It has to have some degree of consciousness involved.

Is It Better To Watch Porn Than Go and Cheat On Your Girlfriend/Fiance/Wife?

Well, Porn's wrong because Jesus said you're not supposed to even look upon a woman with lust, lest you commit adultery with her in your heart - not because you have a girlfriend/fiance/wife. I'm single - does that make porn okay for me? Nope.

To be honest I am probably one of the most secular Christians on the forum. I'm fine with that. I have my beliefs you ahve your's.

Here is an interesting question for those that are so against porn. And are convinced it is cheating.

If my girlfriend was a pornstar, and I only watched porn with her in it, would that still be cheating?[/b]

no, it would not be cheating. but i think it is still sinful becuz it is adultery in your heart. she is not your wife. personally, i would still not want to watch her porn, becuz it's not even real. i'd want to be more productive than that.

as for the original post, i tend to think about sex when i can, which is often. but i don't think i should. i hope to respect women so i can't answer yes to the second question either. but i usually tend to think romantically or sexually rather than sisterly or whatever. sometimes its subconscious and porn and cheating are both bad. the consequences can vary.
