What Does your name Mean?

Recommended Posts

My name is Kadie and a couple months ago or last year I found out that it was Irish and meant simple happiness:)

Ok so I realized that there's another thread like this so combine the meanings of your first and middle name to create one meaning for your name if you can

Ex: Kadie=simple happiness/pure, Alisha=noble/kind

so...pure, noble, and kind simple happiness:)

Thank you everyone who has posted so far:)

Name: Amanda (Latin)

Meaning: Worthy of love, loveable, much loved

Why I was named this: My dad always wanted a girl named Amanda. Why he wanted this name is beyond me.

It depends on the language it derives from. It's either:

Latin and Greek: Flourishing or highly praiseworthy

or

Basque: Priceless

I used to hate my name, but learned to like it over the years.

Benjamin is from Hebrew and is literally translated as "son of right" but usually it is taken to mean "son of my right hand"

But since I get called Ben which just means 'son'... =P

My name is a blend of two names... So if we put the two together, one meaning is: "Mythological ancient Roman divinity who was noted for beauty and swiftness; often depicted as a huntress" and the other is "Protector of Man"... So, yeah. :D
