Craigsnedeker
RED is one of my fav hard rock bands. But I'd have to say this is one of the best metal bands I have ever heard: http://myspace.com/allhavefallen I think they broke up though... sad. Give them a listen
CookieMonstah
Well, are you looking for "Christian" bands, or does it matter?

m3t4lh34dtristan
I tried doing this yesterday but clicked the wrong button :/ so round two I love metal and listen almost only to Christian metal, with the exception of Escape the Fate and Iron Maiden (: Here's my favourite bands, and great songs by each with video links (if the video doesn't have lyrics, they should be in the video description ) (Increasing in 'heaviness') Skillet (Hard rock) - Monster ( )- Hero ( )RED (Hard rock, bit of metal) - Feed the Machine ( )- Pieces ( )- Breathe Into Me ( )Blessthefall (Hardcore, metalcore) - Guys Like You Make Us Look Bad ( )- To Hell and Back ( )War Of Ages (metalcore) - Battle On ( )- Salvation ( )- All Consuming Fire (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ugCLk4WHeZU) August Burns Red (metalcore) - Marianas Trench ( )- Composure ( )- Back Burner ( )As I Lay Dying (metalcore) - Nothing Left [the intro is "Seperation"] (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0k2OhcUQMpU) - Forsaken (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkttbr-i0kE) - Vacancy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L91u55UtJQo) - The Sound of Truth (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qh2T5kzAHTo) - Anodyne Sea (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2zNKWQZ6B_c) - The Plague (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4mM1T8lMjVc) - Upside Down Kingdom (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L6uv_ZHHSgw&feature=results_video&playnext=1&list=PLDE43E51BC7DC83FF) [sorry there's so many but that's just it, so many good songs by this band ] For Today (metalcore) - Saul of Tarsus (The Messenger) [intro is "Immanuel (The Challenger)"] ( )- Psalm of the Son ( )- Devastator [intro is "The Breaker's Origin"] ( )[if NOTHING ELSE, listen to those 3 songs. Freaking amazing! \m/ ] Oh, Sleeper (metalcore) [before you check their songs, background story to their new album, Children of Fire, is it's like a story about a family in the time after the rapture. There's a girl and her father. Girl gets raped and the father murders the man responsible, but doesn't stop there and kills people, using religion as his reason for killing unbelievers. The song Hush Yael is about a true story of a terrorist kidnapping and murder of a family in a coastal settlement in Israel in 1979, very sad story, you can hear the grief and anger in the song, is what makes it so deep emotionally.] - Hush Yael ( )- The Family Ruin ( )- Children of Fire ( )Hope you enjoy! (: Stay awesome \m/
ManaX
Hard rock - Avenged Sevenfold Heavy metal - In flames/ August Burns Red Screamo - Deftones
Foofer
All of the bands listed in here are pretty generic metal bands. May I dig into another subgenre? Stoner/Sludge Metal. "But Foofer, that sounds so gross!" you might say. They aren't Christian by any means, but they're very talented musicians. Try Red Fang, Intronaut, and Sleep's 'Dopesmoker' album. xjoeoconnorx
What style are you after? My iTunes is 98% Metal, Hardcore etc and 80% of that is Christian stuff. Got everything from Christian Indie Rock through to Christian Technical Death Metal and Grindcore
Mr Spock
Chevelle. Perhaps the most consistently good hard rock band out there right now. Not Christian but amazingly good. So much of hard rock is with guys who can't sing and these guys create some really beautiful music. 6 good albums. Here are some of my favorites off the top of my head (tip of the iceberg though): Letter From a Thief: Saferwaters: The Clincher: The Meddler: Piñata: I Get It:
xjoeoconnorx
The band with the most plays in my iTunes is a band called After Me The Flood. Real small unsigned band but have a lot of passion in their music. Not Christian but its uplift hardcore. Other than that I regularly jam out some Texas In July, Your Memorial, Impending Doom, Sleeping Giant, The Ghost Inside, A Plea For Purging, Blessed By A Broken Heart, It Prevails, Norma Jean or Underoath. Those are just the ones I play lots, I've got just over 4000 songs and 95-98% would be Metal or Hardcore. I'll leave you with this
