HaleyGirl16
So I got the idea for this after viewing the picture post thread. I didn't realize how expensive cereal is in other parts of the world, compared to my little corner of the US. So, how much does a regular box of cereal cost where you live? Does it depend based on what kind or what sized box? Also, what's your favorite kind of cereal, and if the price went up today, how much would you be willing to pay for a box of your favorite cereal? Buoyancy
I don't eat cereal any longer. but when I WAS eating it, it was like $1.88 for the cheap version of Lucky Charms (you know, that crap in the bag...Marshmallow Matey's or something.) Mark
Depends on the type of cereal and the brand. I usually go for the healthy and glamorous kind, so it's usually at least $5CAD per box.
Ambassidor
I don't buy cereal. If my mom does, it's only when it's dirt cheap on sale.

hannah_1
I can manage to find a box of cereal mimicking bigger brands for around 60% or less of the cost of leading brands, most of the time they taste pretty good and aren't that different to those from major brands. My favorite type are anything with strawberry in it. Love the idea of trading goats btw.
raquelcay
well, in my place cereals cost only 60.00 pesos (cheapest) and 150.00 pesos above (expensive). and if you convert the cost in your place it will only cost $1.5 (cheapest) and $2.5 above (expensive). differentDemocrat
Inflation is sad. I remember hearing my great grandmother saying, "Back in my day..." well, I'm only 27 and I can remember not too long ago when Cpt. Crunch was a buck 50. Now in Charlotte its clocking in @ $3.50 sometimes $4 if you go to an expensive place like Publix or Harris Teeter
Ashley+Smiles
On the odd chance I buy cereal, I get the huge $5 bag of Malt-O-Meal cereals. They're the knock-off brand of other cereals like Cocoa Pebbles, Lucky Charms, Cheerios, and whatnot. Those bags last forever with my little family of two who rarely eat cereal.
