graphic design?

Recommended Posts

I love all the graphics that everyone has been making and posting. :)

Thought I'd share my recent creation for a desktop background:

It shows up blurry on here but it's not.

*realizes I have nothing on you* XD

XD gif graphics are really easy to make in GIMP.

You must teach me thy ways. The only form of gifs I know how to make on GIMP is frame by frame animation.

Thank you! :)

I kind of have a thing for lions when it comes to graphic design.

I made this today. I don't like Frank L. Baum, but I though the quote was neat. =)

Love it!

@Joy: that is pretty much how it works, but I just am really quick at it.

Basically you get the frames and hook them together. if you want a graphic with it, you duplicate the main layer and add it to the frames. You make glittery text that waytoo!

Did what you said and let's just say you are highly better than I am. I had two ideas in mind on what to make for gifs, which turned out to be horrible. lol.

oh my gosh XD LOL well it takes time. Ofc, everyone tells me I am a quick learner. I think it is because usually I figure this stuff out alone so I've learned to easily look at the right resources. Maybe sometime I can help you. XD

You need to make a tutorial and I'm dead serious too. Gifs aren't my area of expertise - at all. I'd love to learn how to make them. :)

also, a basic thing you might want to know.

If you do not want to draw the GIF yourself, you will need a video (i.e. save a video off youtube using a secondhand place) and extract a certain amount of frames consistently from it.

Also, if you feel too lazy, you can work with a gif someone has already made.

Which would you prefer atm? XD

I know it's early for snow and Christmas stuff, so don't hate me. :P

I was playing around with some overlays on my graphics program and this is the graphic I came out with. What do you think?

drop shadow would make the text a tad easier to read, perhaps consider a green color rather than red? The red doesn't seem to blend well. :)

All right. Thank you. :)

This is a slightly creepy graphic I made. Any suggestions? What do you think? :)

Now this is where a drop shadow is haunting as a bad thing XD

This graphic would be perfect without it. If you want to have a two toned sort of outer effect, consider trying a bevel tool for text.

Ahh, ok. I'm still working on when to and when not to use certain tools. XD
