Lucifer as a scapegoat

Recommended Posts

On another forum, I saw someone mention that Lucifer might have not really known what he was doing, and then God cast him out of heaven, and now everyone makes him out to be a scapegoat all the time. That we should feel sorry for him instead of blame him for our problems.

My thoughts are based on feeling. I "feel" that not only is the devil everything the Bible writes about, he is even more wicked.

However, Lucifer was an angel, and we typically don't feel sorry for him. Whereas oftentimes with a human, even when they've done bad, we will feel sorry for them. Does this mean the same rules don't apply to angels that apply to humans?

I hope I'm not going too far with this post.
