Ok so there is this guy at my work. He is 16, I'm 14 going on 15 soon. He always finds ways to make me smile, every day I see him he greets me, and says hi. He calls me amazing, cool, and awsome. One day he called me Best Friend and then winked at me. He always looks at me, and one day he stood there and staired at me for about two minutes. I never looked back, now I wish I would have. Me and him both like Taylor Swift, we listen to music on the radio at work and we both sing along to the songs, but I just lip sing. He actually sings, one day I was watching him as he sung. And he smiled and said, " You like my singing Jessy? You want me to sing to you?" and I knew he was joking. Another day he came up to me and said, "If anyone messes with you I will mess them up". He is always nice to me, and we only see eachother on the weekends when I work. We somewhat talk but not all that much cuz it's work. We can't talk that much becouse were both always busy. So ya if you need more just message me...

The simplest solution of course is just asking him.

Wow they let you work at 14 there?

I would just take it slow. You are 14 and still quite young. I know that that is not what you want to hear but it is true. Be friends with this guy, since he seems decent, but I would just keep it as friends.

Hmm, it sounds like he might. Or he just thinks of you as a great friend. Maybe you could try flirting with him, give him signs that you like him too or something. thats all i got.

Okay I have a few things to say...

1. Maybe he really likes being friends with you. Don't over analyze anything, because remember; men are simple. Don't go full force on him with flirtatious come-ons because again, you don't know.

2. I think you should ask him. And if you like him then tell him that. Its good to have open conversation with this person so you aren't stuck in neutral. I mean, yes, its embarrassing, but its better to let him know how you feel because odds are he won't tell you first.

But all in all, provided the information, I think he likes you.

I think either he cares a great deal for you as a friend or does like you very much. He has a desire to protect you from other guys and stuff like that so I think he probably does like you. I know If a guy ever messed with my best friend thats a girl who I like very much, I would break them.

Hes a 16 year old male, he will like 90% of the female population anyway. regardless you are too young to be dating in my opinion, and heres a thought, when was the last time you saw a married couple that stayed together in a relationship from age 15/16? I for one, have not. young teens generally lack the maturity to enter into a relationship to begin with sooooo just remain friends, if in a couple of years you feel the same way then go for it. just my 3 cents.

Cheesy as hell, but, if it's true love it will stand the test of time. You two are both young and have a lot to learn about the world. I know the last thing your heart is telling you is to wait, and I hate to break it to you, but hearts are commonly mistaken. Now, experience in dating does help you learn, but at this vulnerable, emotional stage this guy could really hurt you, or even vice-versa. Like I said, if you two really have something special, it will last. He probably makes you feel amazing, and you want to hold onto that feeling, but it's not going to last forever. You need to find out more about this guy after the feeling is over, rather than chase it and meet up with a dead end.

As for Taylor Swift... eh, I wouldn't call him the most sophisticated when it comes to taste in music. But that doesn't automatically mean you need an operation to be his type.

Of course - that'd be very healthy. But then why on earth would they need the label of "boyfriend and girlfriend" just to enjoy each other's company? I'll never understand teen society's obsession with these trite and practically useless labels. When you're aiming for marriage, then you're boyfriend and girlfriend because you are romantically involved. But, if you have no intention for marriage, then what good does being someone's girlfriend really do? Does it make a girl feel better about herself because she knows she's loved? If that's the case then she can only be happy when she feels accepted, indicating extreme issues of confidence and self-esteem. The only other reason a boyfriend-girlfriend thing is required is if the two people need some sort of label to justify their going places together, which again indicates how society has de-emotionalized the most intrinsic actions caused by our social natures. Can't two people just go places together because they like spending time together? Why do they have to be boyfriend and girlfriend if they can't see themselves actually having a life together?

I'm sorry I just puked all over your thread, TC, but this has been on my mind a while. Why really would someone need to know if a person likes him or her unless it's because he/she could forsee a lasting relationship? If a person wants to spend time with another person, one should spend time with him/her; I don't see why the formal "going out" label has to be established or suddenly it's "weird."

Hmmmm.

Maybe he likes you.
Maybe he doesn't.

It's difficult to tell.

What I can say is this: you may be a little too young to date, although that depends on your maturity.
Aaaand he's 16, ye say?
Hmm
