I think I agree with most of what you say about salvation. Of course, as a Calvinist we'll probably disagree on the sovereignty aspect, but it's great just to meet people who believe in grace through faith alone, not as a result of works, lest any man should boast.

But yes, it's a beautiful Psalm. I also like Psalm 104 -- a great testimony to God's omnipotence, omnipresence, and omniscience.

Moreover it gives us assurance in the ongoing work of God in your life.

"And I am sure of thise who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ." Phil. 1:6

The more you know God and the Gospel of Christ the more you'll love Him, and the more you love Him the more you'll obey Him. That's why I recently started in the OT and began going through the Bible trying to get to know as much of God and the gospel as I could. Draw near to God and God will draw near to you.

Christianity isn't just legalism -- "don't do this but rather do this" -- but it's about the heart.
