Pending the increasing number of requests I am getting for username changes, I would like to implement a basic set of rules for when and why username changes can take place. Therefore:

Members of CTF may apply to an administrator for their username to be changed under the following circumstances:
- They are in the Newcomer or Resident member group (not Gentryman);
- Their username has not already been changed prior to the request;
- They have a valid reason for changing their username ('...Because I got bored of my old one.' is not an acceptable reason).
Exceptions to these rules may be permitted under certain exceptional circumstances, in which case a PM should be sent to myself with all relevant information pending to the request. Those name change requests which I have received and have not yet had time to deal with will be dealt with at my own discretion. For all new requests made from today, the above rules will apply universally.
