Since I was discussing a bible I found this a fitting section to put this topic in.

A moment ago I was looking around my room, and I noticed I had alot of bibles that I do not use. I asked myself, why not give some away since you're not using them? As I was thinking, I realised that each bible I have has some special meaning to it. Like I have one from my great grandma, one from when I got baptised, one from my grandma, and so on. Each and everyone of them means something to me, but what is the use in a bible if you don't use it? So my question is, would you ever give away a bible that had some special meaning to you?

Perhaps, it really depends on whether I think it would hurt the person who gave it to me to give it away, how much I'd invested in the Bible (notes etc.) and how special it really was to me. Sometimes I would rather just buy someone else a new Bible if they need one. Personally I use just about all my Bibles (if it's not one of the two I lost) because I like to compare translations...

So maybe maybe not, it's all circumstantial.

    Of course.

Keep one - and give the rest away. People need to read the word of God - many will not, but some would if they only had a Bible given to them.

    DO IT !!

Personally, I have like 4 Bibles. I find that collecting Bibles is nice. I have varying sizes, versions, notes, etc. I have one I carry in my purse. I have my hardback that has great notes that i do most of my notetaking in. I have my leatherbound Fire Bible which gives me more insight into the Scripture from a Pentecostal perspective, which I use for studying, I have my NASB, which I also use for studying, for looking for key words and such.
I also want an NKJV and a KJV and The Message someday. I like having different references to look into. If I ever learn to read Greek, I might get a Greek translation for kicks. Even more depth, there...

    But.

If I ever came across someone that needed a Bible, I wouldn't hesitate to give it away. In fact...my grandmother got very mad at me once when I was 10 for giving away a Bible that she had given to me. lol

I think I might. I only have one Bible, but it means a lot to me. It has a ton of notes and prayers that I've written in it, and my grandma gave it to me for my first communion. But I think that if the person who gave me the Bible would love to see me help others with it, I would.
    I'm through accepting limits
    because someone says they're so.
Too long I've been afraid of
losing love I guess I've lost.
    Kiss me goodbye,
    I'm defying gravity
and you can't pull me down.
    Wicked.
