    Thumbs down

    Hello! This is my first night on Christianforums, and I counldn't wait to share what my mother and I have been studying. We have found some major verses that describe DINOSAURS in perfect detail. One thing to know about this is the word 'dinosaur' wasn't invented until the 1860s or so (close guestimate). One more thing, I had a friend try to tell me God wasn't saying this, if you read a bit back, you realize it is God.

    Job 40:15-24 "Look at the behemoth, wich I have made along with you; He eats grass as an ox. See now, his strength is in his hips And his puwer is in his stomach muscles. He moves his tail like a tall cerdar tree; The sinews in his thighs are tightly knit. His bones are like beams of bronze, his ribs like bars of iron. He is the first of the ways of God; Only He who made him can bring him near His sword. Surely the mountains yeild food for him, and all the beasts of the feild play there. He lies under the lotus trees, in a convert of reeds and marsh. The lotus trees cover him with their shade; The willows by the brook surround him. Indeed the river may rage, yet he is not disturbed; He is confodent, though the Jordan rushes into his mouth, though he takes it in his eyes, or one peirce his noes with a snare."

    Don't forget Job 41--The Leviathan.

    In the KJV, dragons are probably dinosaurs.
    Also, some stories of Dragons in ancient and medieval times are also probably dinosaurs.
    Your argument is so abstract that its vapidity swirls to the brink of nothingness, theoretically meaningful, but ultimately lacking in concrete nouns and other signs of well-conceived ideas. ~Yves

    Yeah, it was cool when I first read those.

    I think it's talking about dragons, though.

    I thought that at first too, but looking at the description, most people think its a bronchiosaurus, or something similar. Then again, no one really knows what the creature was, so your guess is as good as mine!

    I've actually been having a battle with a few of my freinds over that one! We all have different ideas of what it was.

    I find these interesting (weird if Dinosaurs are millions of years in extinction):

    For the first two, the neck alone was measured at around 20 feet.

    This was found and brought to a taxidermist

    The pictures you posted of the Japanese fishing trawler, the Zuyo-Maru?

    I believe dinosaurs were real, and some still may be alive in as-yet-unexplored regions of the world (believe it or not, parts of Africa are still unexplored), but the "plesiosaur" is widely regarded instead, as the decayed remains of a Basking Shark. I believe dinos are real though . . .

    What do you know about the first two pics?

    Job 40:15

    15 "Look at the behemoth,
    which I made along with you
    and which feeds on grass like an ox.
    16 What strength he has in his loins,
    what power in the muscles of his belly!
    17 His tail sways like a cedar;
    the sinews of his thighs are close-knit.
    18 His bones are tubes of bronze,
    his limbs like rods of iron.
    19 He ranks first among the works of God,
    yet his Maker can approach him with his sword.
    20 The hills bring him their produce,
    and all the wild animals play nearby.
    21 Under the lotus plants he lies,
    hidden among the reeds in the marsh.
    22 The lotuses conceal him in their shadow;
    the poplars by the stream surround him.
    23 When the river rages, he is not alarmed;
    he is secure, though the Jordan should surge against his mouth.
    24 Can anyone capture him by the eyes,
    or trap him and pierce his nose?

    Yeah that doesn't sound like an elephant to me, or a rhino for that matter to me.
    Slip out the back before they know you were there
    And at the worst you'll see nobody cares
    Cos you don't wanna be around when it all goes down
    Even heroes know when to be scared

    I don't stand before you as a man who likes hip hop, I like pizza. I live hip hop.

    There are some translations that put the word behemoth as elephant or rhino, but the tail thing really has me leaned to dinosaur.

    Same here--an elephant's tail or a hippopotamus's is wimpy compared to a brachiosaurus tail!!!!
