So we have Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) at my school. And they meet every friday pretty nice group, but it pains me to see what they did. So one of my friends was banned and asked never to come back to FCA because he was openly Bi (not the same thing as gay yes but that was the reason). What does not make sense to me is the fact that non-Christians are allowed but someone that is gay or bi was banned from going back? I would like to know how you guys feel about this.

I personaly felt very upset when hearing they banned a Christian from a Christian club for what i see is no reason.

That is discrimination and I am sure that the person in question could sue and win. I am also sure it has very little to do with the actual orginization and much more to do with the biggots who lead the group.

I really don't think it was the best to do.I think being gay,bi,or les is wrong, but God still loves them, hates their sin.
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 2 Timothy 4:2-3

That is so ridiculous. We have FCA at my school and meet every morning, and as far as I've seen, it's one of the most accepting groups of Christians I've ever been around. I'm sorry that this has happened to your FCA group, it's kind of a bad witness to not only your friend but the non-Christians that will hear about it.

Wow thats really bad, I hope that he says something about it because they should be accepting and more willing to be a witness than anything.
You come to me with scars on your wrist
You tell me this will be the last night feeling like this
I just came to say goodbye
I didn't want you to see me cry, I'm fine
    But I know it's a lie
This is the last night you'll spend alone
Look me in the eyes so I know you know
I'm everywhere you want me to be
The last night you'll spend alone
I'll wrap you in my arms and I won't let go.
Im everywhere you need me to be.

Don't worry about it too much. I'm sure most the kids in FCA aren't like that. In fact, I know they're not. It's really weird... I can't think of who would've told them to not come back. Honestly, I dislike FCA anyway.... It doesn't really help anything, and I feel really awkward with my Catholic habits and way of worshiping around there. It just does not work well for me. I'd go to Mass and Breakfast on Friday mornings if I wanted to commune with God, and anyone is invited to that if they want to go.

If the Eucharist truly is Christ, then it makes 100% sense that it is the basis of my faith. If it is not Christ, then I am no better then a pagan worshiping a Christmas Tree.

That is discrimination. If one professes to be Christian, how can they be banned from a group like that?

Though, I am not sure why non-Christians would be allowed in that group, as it is called "Fellowship of Christian Athletes". Oh well.

I personally think this is really, really disgusting. Personally, I see nothing wrong with being gay/bisexual and a chrisitian. Sure it may not be something that all the members of your FCA agree with - but does that mean they have to discriminate against him because of his sexuality??

As you clearly disagree with what happened (and rightly so) have you told themyou think it was wrong? As Christians we should be loving and accepting, and even if the member of your FCA do not believe in Homesexuality in Christianity, by judging him they commited a worse sin.

I hope their actions doesnt spread around your school and give Chrisitans a bad name. Thats exactly what happened at my school, and now the Christians have openly discriminated against those of a different sexuality many, many people searching for God - including my girlfriend - have been put of Christianity.

I will pray that you have the strength to tell the group what you think - if you havent already. I will also pray they learn to be more accepting of those who are different.

    All my love
    Kia xx

That is just wrong I say they need to look at the group and show love because if they do that then people will not want to be around them calling themselves "Christians" and yet doing this makes no sense.

Even though I don't agree with being gay/bi, that is still very crappy of your FCA leaders. FCA should welcome everyone just as Jesus did. However I wouldn't have a problem with a leader telling a gay/bi person not to freak anyone of the same sex out. I don't know about anyone else here, but I'm uncomfortable around them. It doesn't bother me when a female is looking at my body, even if I don't like her the same way. However catching a gay guy looking at me in that way...*shutters* I'm not being immature, it just freaks me out.
