Section A: FAQ about CTF Main Forum
Question A1: Why are my posts not showing up!?
Answer: This is the question we most commonly get asked by new members. The answer is simple: all new members' posts need to be approved by a member of staff before they can be seen by other members of the forum. This is a safety feature that helps protect our members from viewing topics that could be potentially inappropriate or offensive. There�s no need to worry; post approval will usually take only a few minutes.

Question A2: How do I insert images into my posts, and signature?
Answer: Simply find the image you want, and get it on imageshack.us, or another image hosting site like photobucket. Then copy the image URL, it will resemble this!
Then, take that ^ code ^ and paste it in between the image tags! It will look like this:Code:http://www.imageshack.us/images/stories/photo1.jpg

Question A3: What are tags and how do I use them?
Answer: Tags are used in your posts to modify them beyond just simple words. Tags are contained within square brackets, '[]' and there are two of them encasing the information you want to modify. The first tag will only contain the raw order whilst the second one will contain a '/' to indicate that the modification is to stop there.
The easiest way to use tags is to input the information you want normally, highlight it and at the top of the reply box choose the relevant modification. After a while you will become accustomed to the commands and will add them manually. For examle, if you wanted something bold you would put:

Question A4: What is my 'rank' (aka: Level, position, title)
Answer: Your 'rank' is the little text that appears under your name and avatar. It changes every time you reach certain post milestone. You can currently pay 500 CTF cash to change this custom title to anything you like. However, when you reach 1201 posts you can change it indefinitely thereafter. To change your custom title once you have reached 1201 posts look under your Control Panel and then 'Edit Profile Information', it'll be there. Otherwise look under 'Games' at the top and select 'CTF Cash' to pay 500 CTF Cash for it

Question A5: How do I become a mod?
Answer: This is a bit more complicated. Basically, you don't 'become' one. You are chosen, by the staff. Usually only when they need someone. If you want to 'be' a mod your best bet is to be a mature poster who thinks with his/her head. NEVER asks to be one, and spends a lot of time posting decent and acceptable content.

Question A6: How do I edit my profile?
Answer: once again, its really very easy. Simply click 'My Controls' on the top right part of your screen. It will take you to a screen where you can change pretty much everything about your profile. Including avatar, signature, profile, contact information, albums, and private messages

Question A7: I accidentally selected the wrong gender. How do I fix it?
Answer: Click "My Controls," scroll down and click "Edit Profile Information." It's the first drop down box.

Question A8: How do I combine a link and an image in my sig?
Answer: Simply use the following code, replacing "nameofwebaddress" with the URL of the site you want to link to, and "linktoimage" with the URL link to the image you want to use.

Answer: Either go to their profile and click "add as friend" under their picture, or click on their member name on their posts and then "add as friend".

Question A10: How do I edit/add my profile information (interests, gender, website, location, etc.)?
Answer: Just click on the 'My Controls' link near the top of any page on the site, and then find the link on the left that reads 'Edit Profile Information'. Click on that and a new page will appear showing all of the profile information you are able to fill in.

Answer: Among the 'stickied' topics in The Escape (click here).

Question A12: What are those topics that always stay at the top of the forums?
Answers: Those are 'pinned' or 'stickied' topics - they usually have important information that relates specifically to the forum they're in.

Question A13: Why are some peoples names in different colours or bold?
Answer:
Bold means they're in the "Gentryman" class (have been members for at least 6 months and have over 2000 posts)
Purple means they're in the "10Ker" class (members with over 10,000 posts)
Green means they're a "Counselor"
Blue means they're part of the "Prayer Team"
Maroon means they're "Retired Staff"
Orange means they're a "Limited Moderator"
Orange (bold) means they're a "Moderator"
Red means they're a "Limited Administrator"

Question A14: Can my account be deleted?
Answer:
No, it messes with post counts and stuff and is unnecessary, just leave and be done with it, no need for account deletions.

Question A15: CTF says I'm dead...
Answer: All members are automatically part of the CTF battle system and if someone attack you then it is very probable that they will kill you. If this is the case you can revive yourself from the CTF battle menu or you can opt out of the game. However, if you opt out then you will need to request an admin to put you back into the game if you change your mind.

Question A16: How do I make a link appear as text?
Answer:

Question A17: How do I send a PM?
Answer:
Click on the specific persons name in a post and click send message. Example below.
This will take you from the topic straight to your messenger where you can enter a topic title and send the PM.
Or
Click on PM at the top of your screen.
Next click compse new message, in the menu on the left of your screen.
When your message window pulls up, you will need to enter the name of the message recipient, then the title, and then of course, your message
Or
Go to the persons profile and click send message under the persons profile picture.
Enter title and message.

Section B: FAQ On CTF Chatroom
Question B1: In that chatroom, how do I add emoticons next to my name and change my font color?
Answer: To add an emoticon next to your name, go to Options, then Effects, and tick the corresponding boxes. To change your font color, find the white (By default) box in between the typing area and display area and click to bring up a pallet of colors.

Question B3: Why can't I access the chat?
Answer: To stop trolls going on chat you are required to have a minimum of TEN posts before you can access the chat room. This is for the safety of our members.
