My first name was after my mom's aunt (except hers was the traditional Finnish spelling of Maija, with a silent j) and my middle name was the middle name of my great-grandmother on my dad's side
And I love it ^_^ it's unique, and it sounds nice. I just hate all the misspellings and mispronunciations that come along with it :P

I was supposed to be a boy. My parents were so sure I was going to be a boy, they didn't need an ultrasound to tell them.
So, I was born, and I was a girl.
They didn't have a name picked out.
My Dad said he liked the name "Ashley Marie" so that's my name.
My mom hadn't even ever heard of the name Ashley before, she thought she was going to have a unique baby name.
Yea, too bad Ashley was the most popular baby name in 1988, the year I was born.
Plus to top that off, my name means "Ash-Tree meadow"

My parents wanted another daughter, so they promised God they would name me after the Blessed Mother if they got me. They got me. Middle name is Therese, after St. Therese Martin.

for some reason my parents named me Walter Evan and with my last name starting with T it gave me the initals WET -_-
So I leagally changed my name to Evan Walter when I was 14, Im not very happy with the name Walter but. I love the name Evan

I think they just liked the name Anna, and my middle name is for my 'aunt'. You know, one of those people who's not actually your aunt, but that's what you call them? So I'm Anna Kathryn.

My mum 'just liked' my name. Not much else to it :P.
I don't mind my name, but I don't particularly like it. I like uncommon names, and Emily is so common :/. But, Emily is just me now and I wouldn't want to change it to anything else.
