Were you vaccinated as a child? What vaccines have you gotten?

I personally had all the recommended vaccines when I was a child, but there were less required/recommended when I was born than today. My mom is still digging up my old shot records for me, but I also remember getting the Hep B series when I was 13.

As of right now, my child will only be on a selective and delayed vaccine schedule. He will only get vaccines I feel are safe and neccessary.

I was given Tetanus vaccine after being bit by a dog (wouldn't let me leave the clinic without it, ugh), that is it, however.

I will NOT be giving my children vaccines.

Yes.

Do you have all the recommended vaccines?
Sure do!

Will you get vaccines in the future?
Yep.

Will you vaccinate your future children?
Of course, I'd be an irresponsible mother if I didn't.

Do you agree with using aborted fetal tissue to make vaccines(MMR)
Yep, MMR protects against three highly contagious diseases. (Measles, Mumps and Rubella)

I second what Bryce said. There is nothing irresponsible about not giving your child vaccines. In fact I almost would consider it IRresponsible to NOT consider what you allow people to inject into your child and when they do it - if you at least look at the effects and selective vaccinate, well, that's your choice, not mine (I don't agree with vaccines at all). But totally ignoring it and simply doing what the government reccommends... well... *That's* what I'd call irresponsible.

Those who do not vaccinate most often do it in the best interest of the child.

I second this.

I agree I would call it irresponsible to vaccine my child as well.

I agree 100% with Flying Nun. if you don't give your children ANY vaccines you are a. making your job getting your children enrolled in school much harder b. Irresponsible. Sorry, there is no way around it. If you knowingly put your children at risk for diseases easily prevented then you are an irresponsible parent

No, I'm not vaccinated and have never been vaccinated. Never had a shot before. I also don't plan on getting any vaccinations in the future or plan on vaccinating my children if I ever have any, unless it's absolutely necessary. Except for a "select few," pretty much all vaccines are no good, they're just not healthy for you. *shrugs* I'm sorry, but that's just what I personally believe.

Way to go, you just assumed I haven't bothered to look into side effects of vaccinations and what goes into them.
I do my research first, thanks.

Those who do not vaccinate most often think they're doing it in the best interest of the child, but in reality, they're just putting the child at greater risk of catching a nasty virus or disease, which in turn just means more people carrying around that virus/disease and thus we will continue on needing vaccinations.
