In fact, if it wern't for this weird 'girls can't make the first move' taboo that seems rampant in our somewhat conservative catholic/christian circles I probably would have already asked. I'm really not afraid of rejection. Actually, I kinda enjoy being single, but I'd also probably enjoy being 'Facebook Official' or heck even just 'talking' (whatever the heck that means). Problem is though, I don't actually have much dating experience past a dozen or so rather noncommital dates and one failed HS relationship so I'm having a hard time getting my point across. Still, My friends tell me that giving you a Carly Rae Jepson style note would be extremly creepy so I'm just gonna continue to drop hints and hope you pick them up untill the point where you eventually get the message and eigther yes or no me.
Plus, uping the nerve to actually say something is hard. Again, if you say no its really not a big deal but what I fear is the dreaded 'crud, now its awkward' that often comes after a proclamation of undying.... well, this isn't love really... but interest. Look friend, I get that your a nice guy and don't want to hurt me but really I'm just looking for a straight up yes or no. Yes, and we can pursue something, have fun, and be all adorable and couplyish until happily ever after (or more likley till one of us decides its just 'not the right one') No and I (being awesome) can still walk away with the thought of 'Poor child dun know what he's missing.' running through my head, then onto the next Potential Man Friend.
If you were my BFF or even just a close guy buddy this would be a diffrent situation, but really, your just a friend of a friend I'd really like an excuse to see more of (... uh haha no not that way, we are still Christians XD) but don't know exactly how to go about it. I can't guarantee that this will go forever, or even really for more than a week or so, but I really am not trying to lead you on. I don't want to hurt your feelings either. I just want to get to know you.
So yea Potential Man Friend, thats about it. Yes, No and even Maybe are all acceptable answers. If it works, cool! Know that I will let you pay for the first date then fight you on the rest. And if not? Cool! You should know that I will still probably stalk you on the dance floor b/c dancing is awsome and you smell nice.
